After what feels like years of speculation, a Friends reunion was officially confirmed last week – 15 years after the show stopped airing.
That’s right, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc are getting back together for an HBO Max “unscripted special” celebrating the wildly popular sitcom.
And while we can’t wait to have the gang back on our screens again, we can’t help but wish for some more episodes of the show we all know and love.
Well, if new reports are to be believed, our dreams could be about to become reality.
According to The Sun, the show’s bosses are planning to give a new 12-part series the go ahead if the unscripted special is a success and if it does happen, the cast are in for a HUGE payday.

Girls Aloud reunion: Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts drop strong hints it's ON
A source told the publication, “Officially, the deal has been signed for a one-off. But the hope is that once everyone sees how well it’s received and how much love there is for the show, another series will be agreed and commissioned.
“If this happens, agents will be licking their lips. This will be the kind of small-screen payday the likes of which has never been seen. Including streaming rights, cast fees, spin-offs and merchandising, this could be TV’s inaugural billion-pound contract.”

The cast’s reunion was confirmed last week on Instagram when they simultaneously shared the news on Instagram, writing “It’s happening.”
HBO have promised to “capture the spirit” of the show in the hour-long unscripted special, which is believed to be worth a whopping £350 million.
It’s thought the special, which airs exclusively on the new streaming service in May, will take the form of interviews with the cast as they look back at the hit sitcom.
Friends originally ran for 10 seasons, launching the careers of it’s stars, with the finale holding the title of the most-watched single TV episode this century.
