It’s been seven years since he was last on the show, but if you cast your minds back to 2017 then you might remember former Gogglebox star Josh Tapper.
Josh rose to fame on the Channel 4 show alongside his mum Nikki, dad Jonathan and sister Amy when they joined the cast in 2013 and we basically watched him grow up on screen before he quit the show to move into politics.
After working as an apprentice at No.10 alongside then-Prime Minister Theresa May, Josh has now branched out on his own and is running to be an MP.
Earlier this week, Josh took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to reveal that he’d been selected as Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Hartsmere.
“Thank you so much to local members for your support - I won’t let you down,” he told his followers.
In order to win the seat, Josh needs to beat Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden and he added, “The work to unseat the Deputy Prime Minister starts now!”
Josh's politics career started when he bagged an apprenticeship at the Cabinet Office. At the time, a source said, "Channel 4 will, of course, keep the door open for him but it’s a really exciting opportunity for him."
They told The Mirror, "It’s a much coveted job. Josh has already started having meetings within No.10."
Josh's parents, Jonathan and Nikki, and his sister Amy continued to appear on the show after he left, although they too quit the show not long after.
Amy went on to appear on Celebs Go Dating in 2018 alongside Love Island legends Olivia Attwood and Eyal Booker, TOWIE's Chloe Sims and actual Sugababe Mutya Buena.
During the coronavirus pandemic, dad Jonathan was left fighting for his life but thankfully made a full recovery and has since been documenting his weight loss on social media.
