I’m A Celeb forced to SCRAP family reunion episode

I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! bosses have been forced to make yet another tough decision as the touching family reunion segment has been axed from this year’s series.

In previous years, close friends or relatives have entered the campsite in the final 48 hours to give the remaining celebs a much-needed morale boost but coronavirus restrictions mean that for 2020 the regular heart-warming feature won’t be feasible.

And despite spending weeks in a wet and windy castle in not-so-sunny North Wales, contestants won’t be met with a loving hug from their nearest and dearest when they exit the campsite this year.

“ITV were desperate to include the segment as it is always really sweet and heart-warming,” said a telly insider.

“It’s also a nice lift for the celebs who are fed up after three weeks of rations and being away from family.

“But this year they’ve realised with Covid rules and restrictions, it’s just too much of a logistical headache, so have had to knock it on the head.”

While Russel Watson and Jess Plummer were the second to face a double eviction on last night’s episode, bookies favourite Jordan North is predicted to rake in a MILLION pounds next year.
