Following weeks of speculation, ITV announced the summer 2020 series of Love Island was cancelled amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic last week and basically broke our hearts, tbh.
But according to reports, there could still be hope for a second series this year as it’s claimed there are plans to film a special autumn edition in the Canary Islands.
Blimey, series seven is more on and off than some of the Islander’s relationships.
A source told The Sun on Sunday, “The location is up in the air, as Majorca would maybe be a bit chilly by September/October, but the Canary Islands could be possible.
“Casting was well under way for the summer season and producers don't want to lose some of the gems they had hand-picked.”
