They might have had their ups and downs in the Love Island villa but now they’ve both returned to the UK it looks like love is well and truly in the air for Connor Durman and Sophie Piper.
The pair were brutally separated when Connor was dumped from the villa by his fellow Islanders and it appeared that Sophie could have her head turned by a bombshell.
But speaking after her exit from the villa, Sophie admitted she wanted to continue her romance with the 25-year-old coffee bean salesman and was hopeful about going on their first proper date.
She said, “It would be nice to pick up where we left off.
“It’d be starting from the beginning and going on dates. I always love a dinner date, so I’d like to see him and go for dinner and drinks, that’d be ideal.”
Well, it’s looks like Sophie’s wish is about to come true as Connor promised to take her out when the pair were finally reunited on last night’s Aftersun.

Fresh off the plane from South Africa, Sophie gushed, “It’s so weird. It’s so nice to see him. I felt like my right arm had gone, obviously I’m happy to see him now,” as Connor greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.
When asked if he would be taking the 21-year-old on a date, Connor replied, “I am. I need to get her number first.
“It will be so weird with no cameras, no mics.”

Sophie coupled up with Mike Boateng on a friendship basis when Connor was dumped and she told Aftersun host Laura Whitmore she was shocked when the police officer expressed a romantic interest in her.
She said, “I was so confused. Callum said to me that Mike was weighing me up as an option, I was like ‘Are you actually winding me up?’
“From the get go, I was just friends with Mike and it wouldn’t have changed. To hear him say that he wanted to get to know me, there was a question there whether he was playing a game.
“It was very awkward when he picked to recouple with me over Leanne.”
