Yep, it's not just their sporting background that connects the pair who both went to the same university.
Speaking to new magazine, the PE teacher's pal Dan revealed that Hugo is known as ‘Huggsy’ to those around him. Aw.
When asked what he would say to his pal Hugo if he could, Dan said, “Hi Huggsy, just wanted to let you know that I am proud of how you are doing at the moment.
“Everyone back home is really getting behind you and supporting you. Keep being yourself and have fun! Looking forward to all the gossip when you get back.”

Lucie Donlan, Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague (series five)
When boxer Tommy Fury entered the villa with Curtis Pritchard, Lucie Donlan seemed to fancy him a bit. Then, when the blonde bombshell that is Molly-Mae Hague entered and took Tommy on a date, Lucie realised that she fancied him a lot. Unfortunately Molly-Mae was Tommy's preferred blonde and they're still together to this day. Seems like he made the right choice.
Huggsy and Chuggs (blimey, what a tongue twister) were reportedly love rivals at Oxford Brooks with an insider revealing to The Sun, “Hugo and Chuggs knew each other through sport at uni - I think they were both interested in the same girl and went head to head trying to date her.”
Luckily for Hugo, who’s rapidly becoming Twitter fans’ fave contestant, Chloe Burrows chose to save Hugo over Chuggs meaning that the newbie was left single and eventually booted from the villa.

After being evicted from Love Island, Chuggs joked about “the curse of white jeans” and how they were responsible for his exit.
In the first episode, Sharon Gaffka revealed that her biggest turn-off was white jeans and since then none of the boys have worn them, except for Chuggs who wore a pair for the recoupling and ended up having to leave the villa.
Speaking about his fashion faux pas Chuggs said, “I can tell there’s a few in there that want to wear them. They’re just not wearing them because there’s been a bit of that ‘boys and white jeans’ thing going on. They ALL have them. The ‘curse of the white jeans’."
