Here at heat, there’s nothing we love more than when the Love Island lot spill some behind the scenes tea about the show but we definitely weren’t expecting the rather smelly secret that Laura Whitmore has revealed about the villa.

The Islanders get to stay in some seriously luxurious digs while they look for love but it turns out things aren’t quite as glamorous as they look on screen.

Laura, who hosted the first ever winter edition of the show earlier this year, has admitted that the famous villa has a pretty distinctive scent and it doesn’t sound pleasant.

“The Love Island villa smells. That’s the one thing the audience at home never see,” she told The Times.

“When you walk into a house with that many men and only two or three toilets, the smell of fake tan, the flatulence, the perfumes and aftershaves all together is like this eclectic medley.”

Fake tan and farts? GRIM.

The 35-year-old, who has been in a relationship with the show’s narrator Iain Stirling since 2017, also admitted she would love to have the confidence of the contestants to be filmed in swimwear for most of the day.

“I’m jealous of the Love Island girls. I wish I was that confident. I’m inspired by their body positivity, to walk around the villa and not give a s—t,” she added.

“I wouldn’t want to be filmed in a bikini for 24 hours a day.”

In other Love Island news, Molly-Mae Hague has finally revealed how she feels about watching boyfriend Tommy Fury and Maura Higgins flirting on the show last year, after forming a close friendship with the former ring girl on the outside world.

Molly admitted she has watched back scenes of Maura and Tommy in the villa but insisted that it’s all firmly in the past and that the pair are more like “brother and sister” now.

“I’ve had so many messages about Maura being here and hanging out with me and Tommy and stuff, you have to understand that it’s really ok,” she explained in a video on her Instagram story.

“Me and Maura didn’t even know each other then, we weren’t even friends. Like it’s a different story if it’s your mate, Jesus. That’s just like a no go, but it’s really not deep. We weren’t friends when that happened.”
