Love Island’s ‘most popular contestant EVER’ revealed and we’re shook

We didn't see this one coming...

Love Island shock

by Nathan Katnoria |

As we know all too well at the moment, we’re having to make do without a summer series of Love Island this year (thank goodness for Celebs Go Dating, eh?) but so many of our fave Islanders are still re-coupling, de-coupling, and launching some seriously exciting new ventures in the outside world.

We’re still as obsessed with the likes of Maura Higgins, Megan Barton-Hanson and Olivia Attwood as we were the day they strutted in the villa for the very first time and now, after almost 200 Islanders have appeared on the show, research has revealed who is the most popular contestant ever.

No Frills Excursions took a look at search data to find out who fans just can’t get enough of and the results might surprise you…

So there we have it, series five runner up Tommy Fury is the most searched for Love Islander but what's even more surprising is that his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague didn't even make the list.

Tommy and Molly, who recently moved into a £1.3million Cheshire flat together, are the only remaining couple from their series after Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard - who both also made the top five - split.

Fans might be surprised to see 2019 Islander Lucie Donlan on the list as she was dumped for the villa halfway through her series but she hit the headlines recently after sparking a romance with winter Love Island's Luke Mabbott.

She shared the exciting news with fans by posting an adorable photo of her and Sammy holding a baby scan on Instagram.

Alongside the sweet snap, she wrote, “Little bubba can’t believe you are going to be ours.

“Me and Sammy are so excited to start this next chapter in our lives, feel so lucky and grateful… 2021💖💙.”

Dani was flooded with congratulations from her celeb pals, including villa BFF Samira Mighty, who wrote, “Oh my god. Love you!!”

“Oh my goddess!! Congrats babe you’re going to the best Mumma 💕💕💕,” added Megan Barton-Hanson.
