Electrician Mike returned to Australia and decided to settle down after years of travelling the world, so naturally he decided to try and meet The One by taking part in MAFS. He was paired with Heidi, but sadly things didn't work out for them.

These days, Mike works as a hairline tattooist and is loved up with girlfriend Sonja Marcelline after they met on a dating app last year. Opening up about Sonja on Instagram, Mike wrote, "Nice to have a girl who gets me. I'm pretty direct and often my filter gets clogged but she likes that about me. Her hugs are warm and she's gentle and kind. She puts me in my place when I need it but also sees my soft side. I need that."

Heidi still hasn't met The One but her career as a radio presenter has gone from strength to strength. She also works as an ambassador for children's charity Inclusive Kids, supporting disadvantaged children in the Sunshine Coast area.

This comes after their MAFS co-star [Jessika Power](http://EXCLUSIVE: MAFS Australia's Jessika Power moves on with 'hot' new UK man) revealed what really went down with the pair in an exclusive interview with heat and, boy, we were not expecting this...

Addressing the news that Mike has now claimed he "doesn't trust" fellow groom Nic Jovanovic, Jessika explained that the reason the 46 year old has fallen out with Nic is the very same reason that his and Heidi's marriage fell apart in the show's reunion episode.

Married At First Sight Australia's Jessika Power talks explosive show secrets, mental health and her beauty routine

She said, "There was a boys chat, which had like everyone in it, Nic, Mike, [Mick Gould] - however many different 'M's there are - and Mike had said something about one of the girls, like sexually.

"She had good boobs or something like that. I don't know completely what he said. It was inappropriate regardless."

The 29 year old added that, after the initial message was sent, Nic then told ex-partner Cyrell Paule about the remark, who then, being a self-professed champion of girl code, told Heidi what had been said.

Jess continued, "Heidi said [to Mike], 'Show me the chat,' and they broke up.

"So basically Nic dobbed the boys."

The influencer then stressed that she didn't know the extent of what was said in the boys chat, and pointed out that, recently, Cyrell has made claims that Mike actually cheated on his on-screen wife. He has since dismissed these claims.

Shedding some light on Nic's character, Jess revealed that, in the reunion episode when the cameras revealed that she had professed a liking for the 30 year old, Nic had actually - off air - claimed that she wasn't flirting with him, and merely said she was because producers urged him to.

She said, "Our executive producer came out and said, 'I want you to say she's hit on you,' and I looked at him and he looked at me and I was like, 'Who cares?'"

"But," she continued, "Never once in the media has he defended me and said, 'Jess actually didn't hit on me.'"

Opening up about her relationship with Mike now, after the pair had a big fall out at the final dinner party, Jess told us that she has a sibling-like relationship with the tattooist.

"Mike and I literally fought like brother and sister. I can call Mike a dick, he can call me one, but if anyone else called him or me a dick we would have each other's backs," she explained.

She claimed that Mike saw her behaviour back in 2019 as "very childish" and admitted that she now thinks that's true.

She said, "I was very self absorbed, very childish, I didn't care about what I said and his approach - trying to teach me - I would always get defensive over.

"Once we came off the show, we got to actually do a podcast on his show and yeah, it was good, we just had a good chat, and he's just like a big brother."

Well, who would'a thought it?
