FYI, this is one of those iconic Love Island stories we're so painfully excited to report on that our hands are actually shaking as we type – so apologies in advance to heatworld's sub-editor, but this one is about show 'villains' Olivia Hawkins and Coco Lodge joining forces like two camp Batman villains, so SURELY we can be forgiven for the odd erroneous 's'?

As we all know, each series of Love Island is sieved through a certain narrative structure, and as such, producers give certain Islanders certain edits (allegedly and all that 🙄), turning them into tropes like the girl next door, the player, the nice guy, the joker, and, of course, the villain. Every year, these are pretty much a given.

What isn't a given is TWO iconic 'villains' from different series joining forces in the outside world to serve up a double dose of icon behaviour; what certainly isn't a given is an infamous series villain leaping to the defence of the show's current reigning villain, coming head-to-head with toxic trolls.

Imagine our delight when we stumbled upon none other than winter Love Island star Olivia Hawkins and Love Island 2022 star Coco Lodge appearing on each other's socials last night; sharing snaps, exchanging villain crowns (yes, really) and defending one another against social media trolls. Icon behaviour.

Although, personally, we've never seen Olivia nor Coco as villains here at heatworld (although tbf Disney villains are always misunderstood souls with legions of LGBTQ+ fans... so...).

Olivia appeared on Coco's TikTok (they had both been invited to the Marlowe film premiere in London), joining forces to create a version of that bad ass Scarlett Envy TikTok together ('Is it me? Am I the drama? I don’t think I’m the drama… Maybe I am! Am I the villain? I don’t think I’m the villain!'). The pair iconically captioned their video, "When you get trolled but you're not the real villains," seemingly coming for both Love Island's toxic fandom and at least one or two of their co-stars. We love to see it.

If that wasn't juicy enough for you, soon after the post was shared, hordes of LI fans started coming for Olivia in Coco's comments, and again, iconically, Coco came right back at them.

For example, one TikTok user commented, "Coco slay Olivia nay," to which Coco responded, "Olivia slayyyy, don’t hate someone you don’t know 🥰."

Another TikTok user wrote, "No I've lost respect for Coco 😔😔," to which Coco responded, "Bye then."

Meanwhile, on Olivia's Instagram Story, Liv shared snaps of Coco passing her invisible 'villain' crown on to Liv, and honestly, can someone just frame these shots and hang them in The Louvre ASAP?

FYI, Islanders, this is the content we came for and stay for.

We're keeping our fingers and toes crossed for the podcast announcement (imagine the tea), girls.
