If you're on the perpetual quest for a mascara that will make your lashes look so curly and defined they would rival Bambi —one, join the club; and two, have you heard of Maybelline's newest launch, the Colossal Curl Bounce Mascara?

For anyone who is too lazy to contend with a lash curler (me!) this mascara is made for you.

I tried the brand-new mascara and can confirm it's now my favourite formula ever, I even think it's marginally better than the TikTok-viral Sky High mascara , which was loved by everyone fromLeigh-Anne Pinnock to Amber Gill.

You only need one coat to add impact and it expertly separates lashes whilst giving a slight curl. It also stays put, which is a revelation for me when it comes to cheaper mascaras. I normally have that telltale mascara smudge on my eyelid before my 10 am Teams meeting.

It's so easy and satisfying to apply and there are no clumps. Zilch, zero, none. That's not me being some sort of mascara-applying wizard, it is honestly foolproof.

I am also ob-sessed with the futuristic, tube packaging. My morning routine suddenly feels a bit more James Bond.

Okay, so I bet you're wanting to know the downside of this mascara. Is it truly, whispers, flawless? No, reader, nothing is. Even Olaplex no.3 can feel a bit weighty sometimes.

The only negatives are that if you want an ultra-thick, evening lash then I'd probably give this one a swerve. This definitely gives you more of a daytime flutter than a noughties spider lash, though if that's your cup of tea I'd go for the much-loved Sky High Mascara.

I also have very small eyelashes. My eyelashes will never look drop-dead incredible nor like my boyfriend's (why are boy's lashes naturally superior? Sigh.)

Though I'm not blessed in the eyelash department I feel like this formula is one of the best I've tried, especially for £10.99.

There aren't many reviews online, it's THAT new, however one customer on LookFantastic has already given it five stars.

They wrote, "I have used Maybelline's mascaras in the past but never been over the moon with the results until I tried this, it's a huge 10ml tube and the brush is curved for perfect coverage, I started with one coat and I was so impressed with the volume, length and curl.

"I had people asking me where I got my lashes done and when I said they were all my natural lashes people were shocked and impressed."

Well, there you have it. Shop the Maybelline Colossal Curl Bounce Mascara on LookFantastic or Superdrug, here.
