As much as we are enjoying Winter Love Island, we are feeling very nostalgic for season 7 (which is arguably our favourite season of all time. After season 2, obv).

We’d very happily go back to watching Love Island 2021 winner Millie Court on our screens every night being a fashion queen, with her iconic sag necklacearound her neck and causing mischief with the 'Naughty Trio'.

You might be surprised to know that just a mere eight to nine months before entering the villa, Millie was struggling with 'severe' adult acne.

At 23 years old, Millie developed some pretty severe acne and after trying multiple products, and endless Googling, she sought professional help as a last resort. With a bad habit of picking spots, (which, guilty as charged, we all do sometimes) Millie and her skin aesthetician set on a year-and-a-half-long journey to save her skin.

In her YouTube skin series titled, Get Unready With Me, Millie shares her highly requested skin and acne journey. In the video, Millie reveals her saviour products and exactly how she transformed her skin.

Millie admits she’d “never had a skincare routine, not a proper one so this was like really intense, and I have to do every morning, every night. I’m a very forgetful person and probably a little bit lazy, so that's not great.”

Sharing her skincare routine that helped her take control of her acne, Millie highlights Environ as her skin saviour brand, in particular, their Botanical Infused Moisturising Toner. Retailing at £39, the toner is ideal for acne-prone skin as it's gentle and kind to your face. Millie found that “sometimes toners can burn your face, that’s not good if you have active acne, and this moisturising one was very soothing, really nice to put on.”

Millie would cleanse her skin with the Environ Mild Cleansing Lotion, then “with a cotton pad” apply a generous amount of the toner. Her next steps were oils for the nourishment her skin was craving and finished off with an SPF, always.

Follow our breakdown of Millie’s exact skincare steps, from her active acne routine to her breakout-prone skin management here.
