It’s official: festival season is in full swing and we’re buzzing about getting dolled up to dance in the fields. Whether you’re camping at Creamfields or just dropping into Wireless Festivalfor the day, a banging festival fitis an absolute must-have.
But, if like us, you’re struggling to figure out what to buy for the big weekend then you’re in luck as Brit-award-winning singer (and Love Island star guest) Becky Hill has teamed up with Three to spill all of her top tips on nailing your summer festival look.
Taking part in Three UK’s Connect With series, Becky spills the tea on her fave festival looks and fashion icks...
Hi Becky! It’s fair to say you’re a festival pro, but what are the five must-have fashion items that you always pack before heading to a festival?
"Sunglasses, a warm jacket or jumper I can tie around my waist for the colder evening, a pair of walking boots, statement earrings and a belt bag to keep my phone in - and keep my arms free for dancing!"
Makes sense to us. How do you decide on what to wear when you’re heading to a festival?
"I keep in close contact with my stylist and I try to learn a lot from her! We send each other pictures of styles we like and she guides me through what to buy and what not to buy when it comes to online shopping."
What about your beauty bag, what items can you not survive a festival without?
"I’m not into face wipes but at Glastonbury last year I bought these mini bio-degradable wipes that expanded in water, they became a must-have for the campsite. I also love my tinted moisturiser for a dewy natural quick look and some concealer for those late nights and early mornings."
What would you say has been your most memorable festival experience?
"Glastonbury last year was probably my favourite festival experience because I shared it with my brother and my closest friends. We still talk about it on our group chat, and the photos that resurface every now and then always make me smile."
Finally, can you tell us what your ultimate festival would look like?
Drum and bass is my first love so I’d have to have a huge D&B tent. There’d be loads of great food stalls, plenty of places to get drinks so people don’t have to queue, and some really nice clean toilets! We all know how impossible it is to keep your phone’s battery alive at a festival, so charging points like those Three offers are a must."

ASOS
Becky explained to us that sunglasses are an absolute must-have for any festival and TBH she is right. Firstly, there’s the obvious reason of shading your eyes if we’re lucky enough to experience some sunshine. However, they’re also great for covering up tired (AKA hungover) eyes and let’s face it, they’ll instantly elevate just about any outfit. It’s a no-brainer, right?
When Becky told us about her must-have bio-degradable wipes, we had to find some for ourselves. These coin-sized towels are made with super gentle cotton and expand once they’re soaked in water. Once they’re ready, you can use them to take off your make-up or even wipe down parts of your body before being left to bio-degrade. And we aren’t the only ones loving these, as reviewers have been raving about how well they work – plus they’ll come in handy for holidays too.
PLT
Judging from Becky’s past festival fits, it is fair to say she is a fan of a leather bomber and this PLT style is perfect for popping on during cooler nights. We’ll be styling ours with denim shorts and a bedazzled top, but it will look equally great when worn over a cute summer dress. Plus, it is an absolute steal and will leave you enough change to buy a bevvy at the festival – what more could you want?
Katie Loxton
If, like Becky, you’re up for booging the day away then you’re going to need a good bumbag to keep your phone and lip balm safe. However, there’s no need to start picturing a horrid 80’s style bag, oh no, because Katie Loxton have got the most luxe-looking belt bag which will do the job just nicely. Available in 6 stylish shades, the Maya bag features detachable straps, so you can reuse as a clutch, along with an expensive-looking gold zip fastening and plenty of internal pockets to keep your bits and bobs organised. Plus, it can be personalised with your initials. Consider us sold.

According to Becky, wellies are a total festival fashion ick. Instead, the singer likes to hit the fields in a pair of walking boots, which makes sense seeing as you’ll be dancing around for hours on end. Featuring some seriously stylish metal detailing and a height-booting chunky sole, these biker boots from Public Desire are ideal for keeping comfy whilst looking cool. Plus they have side zips so you can get them off without any troubles at the end of the night.
Becky’s make-up artist Wendy Turner is a huge fan of this foundation and uses it on the singer on a regular basis. The buildable, lightweight formula is perfect for creating a flawless finish without caking your complexion in foundation. Previous customers have called this foundation ‘a holy grail’ with one claiming that it is the most stunning formula on the market. Yes, we know it is a super pricey one, but luckily a little goes a long way, and let’s face it, you can’t put a price on having celeb-worthy skin.
