I shop in the petite section and these Boohoo jeans are a game changer

As someone with shorter than average legs, shopping for jeans can present itself as quite the task. The majority of high street stores tend to have a one length fits all mentality (cough, cough, Zara), which is downright disappointing, especially when you're a certified denim obsessive.

There is, however, one brand that never seems to fail me when it comes to a petite jean, and that's Boohoo. The budget friendly brand know a thing or two about size inclusivity, so finding the perfect fitting petite jean is pretty simple if you're vertically challenged. I found the best pair that the brand has to offer, and here are my honest thoughts.

Boohoo Petite Jeans Review

Boohoo's Wide Leg Jeans, £16.50, are some of the best petite jeans on the market. Made with 100% cotton, they're incredibly comfortable, work with practically everything I already own (hello oversized blazers and biker jackets) and can be worn on a range of different occasions. I personally tend to style them with a pair of retro trainers and a cotton shirt, but they would equally work well with a pair of ballet flats and a rib knit sweater vest. For context, I bought a size 10.

I will admit then when I first tried on these jeans, I was, of course, skeptical. Shopping for jeans and trousers with shorter-than-average legs is an already a challenge, especially with the majority of high street brands tailoring their bottoms to fit a leg length of 32 inches. Luckily, Boohoo's petite section tailors jeans to a leg length of 28-30 inches - which is great news if you'd rather your wide leg jeans didn't drag along the floor.

But what I love so much about these jeans is the vintage wash. While I wouldn't usually go for a dark wash when it comes to denim, I'm glad I made an exception with these jeans. The colour means they'll suit any season, and they're especially comfortable having been worn down during the manufacturing process. But if a dark denim blue isn't quite your cup of tea, you'll be pleased to know that these petite jeans come in a mid blue wash as well.
