What exactly did we do on Sundays before brunch was a thing?

It's been far too long since we've been able to put on a cute outfit and eat avocado and eggs with friends, and now that the doors of our favourite restaurants and cafes are open it's time to bring our weekend outfits out of retirement.

Going for brunch is, IOHO, a weekend-only event that's the perfect excuse for dressing up a little and taking your new online purchases out for a spin.

Bright midi dresses, soft-toned blazers and flouncy tops are our weekend uniform this summer, so there's nothing better you'll catch us in come Sunday brunch time.

In the spirit of celebrating being able to go out and enjoy a leisurely brunch once more, we've gathered together some of our favourite picks for a 'gram-worthy brunch outfit.

How to host the perfect brunch at home

Not feeling ready to brave the restaurant scene just yet? That's cool, here's how to host brunch at home.

Preparation is key: make sure to pick your recipes and go shopping for ingredients well in advance. Do any chopping or prepping the night before if you can, leaving last minute bits like poached eggs or pancakes until the morning.

Delegate: ask your brunch go-ers to bring something with them. People are usually keen to bring something to help out and prosecco, orange juice or pastries are great choices to ask for.

Keep it simple: it can be SO tempting to go all out and try to recreate a hotel buffet style brunch, but honestly your guests will probably just be happy with a classic avo on toast or some tasty waffles.
