The evenings are starting to get lighter, we can get away with just wearing a jumper on our lunchtime walk and we've even started to think aboutEaster eggs.
Spring is here and gosh, we are so glad she finally decided to show up!
This season is all about rebirth and optimism after a bleak and weary winter... and never has that felt more prominent than in 2021.
We're finally tired of loungewear! We're over playing-it-safe neutrals andduvet coats! We're ready to wear things that make us feel something again, a shiny outfit that is bright, bold and most importantly fun.
Because after our third national lockdown in a year, we really need something to look forward to.
Spring trends this year are all about straight-leg jeans, pastel blazers and cutesy dresses that wouldn't look out of place on the set of Bridgerton.
The heat style team share the spring-worthy pieces they are adding to their basket this springtime....
Warning: you will want it ALL.

What to wear now it's spring
Oversized lyocell-blend jacket
Chosen by style editor Laura Puddy @laura_puddyPastels are everywhere for Spring so this blazer is a must-buy for me. Really versatile to wear, this beaut comes with matching trousers if you want to go all-out or wear over a form fitting dress with kicks or Mom jeans and boots. The options are endless!
ASOS DESIGN Foster premium leather chunky mules in black
Chosen by Assistant Style Editor Jazzria Harris @jazzieharrisYes it may be a little early for sandals at the moment but I predict these are going to sell out ASAP and so I'm placing my order now. The gold studs, the chunky sole for extra comfort and real leather all for £45 = perfection
Vila blouse with balloon sleeves in purple
Chosen by style writer Rachael Martin @thebretonbirdPretty pink with madly extra puff sleeves? I'm absolutely here for it. Ideal for teaming with relaxed denim, I'll be adding to this blush toned baby with all the pearly jewellery I can possibly get my hands on.
Embroidery-detail jumper
Chosen by shopping editor Aimee Jakes @a1meejakesCute! Fun! Optimistic! This easy knit is exactly the energy I want to channel this spring/summer, thank you very much. Simply style with jeans or layer over midi dresses for a fail-safe OOTD.
Green Floral Midi Dress
Chosen by acting digital deputy editor Eden-Olivia Lord @eden_liv_lord You can't go wrong with a floral midi dress, can you? So this one is definitely going in my basket. I'm loving the puff sleeves, shirred waist and thigh slit. I can already see myself wearing this at my socially distanced picnics.
ASOS DESIGN shirred mini tiered smock dress in blue gingham
Chosen by junior digital writer Lucy Smith @luceeeeesmithGingham is IN and I'm so here for it. I'm going to wear this with my chunky black boots and some cute frilly socks (apparently they're cool again?), and let my legs see the sun after what feels like 1000 months cooped up inside. Spring, I'm ready for ya.
ASOS EDITION sequin wrap mini dress
Chosen by style editor Laura Puddy @laura_puddyYup, this is 'extra' but I am so ready to get dressed up again! Until we're back on nights out, I shall be taking selfies at home in this green number – it's one of the colours of the season, plus who doesn't love sparkle? For less dressy vibes, simply team with jeans. Or go all out with killer heels.
Tied poplin shirt dress
Chosen by assistant style editor Jazzria Harris @jazzieharrisThis white shirt is a serious wardrobe staple perfect for getting Spring ready. I'll be wearing it over jeans and trainers now and alone with neon strappy heels when the weather gets warmer.
Wide High Ankle Jeans
Chosen by style writer Rachael Martin @thebretonbirdIf you're looking to elevate your day to day style then give cream jeans a go. This pair is extra flattering for all figures thanks to the high waist detail and slightly tapered middle. Add a neutral knit to keep things feeling tonal and polished.
Stradivarius split hem straight leg jean in bleach blue
Chosen by shopping editor Aimee Jakes @a1meejakesPre-pandemic me wasn't huge on jeans, but now straight leg styles are very much the go-to, I can fully get on-board. This bright blue hue is giving me major spring vibes and will look just as good dressed up or down.
Blush Shirred Frill Sleeve Dress
Chosen by acting digital deputy editor Eden-Olivia Lord @eden_liv_lordSorry, but how cute is this dress? The sleeves, the length and the shirred material - I need it. I can either dress it down with trainers, or dress is up with ankle boots. I'm going to be living in this dress - shopping? Yes. Brunch? Absolutely. For an Instagram photo? 100%.
Mid Wash Raw Edge Denim Jacket
Chosen by junior digital writer Lucy Smith @luceeeeesmithI may be able to see my friends in the park from the end of March but it's not exactly the Bahamas over here and this denim jacket will be perfect for those breezy days. I love the rough edge and I'm going to wear it with some wide leg trousers so I can sit cross-legged on the grass without feeling like my jeans are going to stop the flow of oxygen through my body ud83dude02. If lockdown has taught us anything, it's that an elasticated waistband is your friend x

Spring trends to know in 2021
Wide leg trousers: keep things easy 'n' breezy with roomy trousers this 2021. Skinny jeans are being swapped for baggier alternatives like the boyfriend-style or straight leg.
Shackets****: they were HUUGE news in 2020 and they're not going anywhere soon. Think big and boxy shoulders, oversized silhouette and neutral hues when choosing your jacket/shirt hybrid.
Feel-good prints: we're forgoing easy basics for loud and proud prints which are the ultimate mood-booster after a testing year. From joyful florals to clashing Hawaiian vibes, the bolder the better in 2021.
