New look

Chosen by style editor Laura Puddy @laura_puddy"A simple dress and metallic sandals are my must-haves for heat wave dressing – less is more when the temp hits over 30 degrees! I always like to show off my shape so this bias cut dress is ideal for hugging in all the right places whilst not being clingy. I'd team with layered gold jewellery and oversized sunnies – after all, it's all about accessorising." Dress: Pink Satin Midi Dress, £25.99, New LookShoes: Metallic sandals, £25.99, ZaraSunglasses: Oversized square sunglasses, £12, ASOSNecklace: Vintage inspired multi row, £14, ASOS

H&M

Chosen by assistant style editor Jazz Harris @jazzieharrisSince the weather's been warmer, I've been living in shorts and this linen pair are super light – perfect for the sweltering heat this weekend. I'd wear them with a fun print crop top like this H&M one (which is an absolute bargain in the sale btw) and simple sandals, if I do happen to make it out the garden.Top: Short cotton top, £3, H&MShorts: Linen shorts, £55, & Other StoriesShoes: White sliders, £14.99, New Look

ASOS

Chosen by style writer Rachael Martin @thebretonbirdAs it's going to be a scorcher this weekend, a cami dress is perfect for keeping cool but chic. This beauty boasts a cute print and handy spaghetti straps (perf for pushing down to avoid those pesky tan-lines). I'm going all-out with the matchy-matchy vibes and teaming with yellow block heels. Finish off with a basket bag. This Skinny Dip one is a lewk and helps to amp things up. Dress: COLLUSION floral printed dress, £18, ASOSShoes:RAID strappy sandals, £16, ASOSBag:Skinnydip tourist basket bag, £16, ASOS

Topshop

Chosen by shopping editor Aimee Jakes **@a1meejakes**Since the somewhat shaky start to the year, I now insist looking a little too dressed up for every occasion. Enter the ultimate BBQ outfit, which not only looks hella cute, but thanks to some sale scouring, the whole outfit comes to £45. You're welcome, huns. Dress: Elastic panel dress, £19.99, MangoBag: Straw weave bag, £10, TopshopShoes: Pink Block Sandals, £15, Topshop

PLT

Chosen by digital writer Eden-Olivia Lord @eden_liv_lordBecause it's going to be boiling I very much don't want to be wearing anything which is why a bandeau top and denim shorts is what I'll have on. I'll still be able to get a tan without actually wearing a bikini in public. And because the buttons on the short are silver I've opted for silver jewellery and sandals. I'm basically hoping to give off boujee vibes without the price tag, tbh.Top: White bandeau top, £5, PrettyLittleThingShorts: Longer length denim shorts, £19.80, MissguidedSandals: Simmi London Aiva sandals, £25, ASOSRings: Silver rings set of five, £5, PrettyLittleThing

Other trends you'll be seeing a lot of in 2020:

Victorian necklines: Thanks to the resurgence of Little Women and Downton Abbey, high necklines and vintage details are going to be popular again. We can pretend to be wholesome.

Racer checks: Be a formula one hun and sport one of the coolest prints around rn. Stick to a monochrome vibe for easy-dressing, or go full-thwack neon if you're feeling adventurous.

Chunky shoes: Toughen up your spring frock with a sturdy shoe. Whether you're a chunky trainers gal or are never not in boots - think Primary School vibes for a bang-on-trend look.
