Brother’s AJ and Curtis Pritchard have paid touching tribute to their late grandmother Angela on the day of her funeral.

I’m a Celeb’s AJ took to his Instagram to share a photo of himself and his little brother as they celebrated the life of their beloved nan, who sadly passed away aged 93 after suffering from dementia.

Sharing a heartwarming memory of how his grandmother would speak about him, AJ said, “Whilst I never talked about my job with Nanna, it always brought me great pleasure that [she] would describe this person on the television that danced.

“She would go on to say that he looks just like you, sounds like you, he even has the same name as you, & Nanna would read about him in the newspaper all the time. This will always be a treasured memory of mine.”

2002: Tony Blackburn

Tony Blackburn was the first ever winner of I'm A Celeb back in 2002. He had a dramatic fall from grace in 2016 when he was sacked after 49 years working for the BBC, for failing to co-operate with the Jimmy Savile inquiry. He has since returned to the BBC and also hosts a podcast with Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson called Ricky and Tony's Pop Detectives.

He continued, "Nanna RIP. 93 years young... Nanna found great pleasure in making everyone feel happy.

"Whether that be making sure you had a cuppa tea in one hand or making sure you were sat down & warm in the house.

"You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived. You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

"You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”

Nanna Angela died whilst AJ was competing on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! but the decision was made not to break the news to him until he was back home.

"AJ has so much more to give to the show and we know that Nanna will be watching and guiding him throughout the final part of his journey on the programme,” explained Curtis at the time.

"We know we have made the right decision for everyone involved."
