London house prices, eh? For a mere £30million, you can get a pad with an indoor swimming pool, a gym and, er, structural problems that include a crumbling roof terrace. Last week, it was revealed that David and Victoria Beckham are having serious issues with their Holland Park mansion, after a report found it in need of “urgent structural repairs”. The problem now is planning permission, with the megastars struggling to get council approval to fix the Grade II listed nightmare.
David, 46, and Victoria, 47, bought the four-storey townhouse on “Millionaire’s Row” – where the likes of Elton John and Robbie Williams also own homes – back in 2013 for a cool £31.5m. They proceeded to spend another £8m on renovations, submitting a whopping 50 planning applications and enlisting the help of celebrity interior designers Kelly Hoppen and Rose Uniacke to turn the Victorian villa into a luxe London abode. And, in 2016, after three long years of building work, the couple – along with their four children, Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17, and Harper, ten – finally moved in.
They have since regularly shared snaps of the glossy interior, revealing huge open fireplaces, hardwood floors, exposed brickwork, and plenty of fashionable wrought iron and glass. Victoria regularly poses for photos in her hallway, showing off the feature black and white floor tiles, wall-mounted lighting, chandeliers and antique mirrors.
As well as six bedrooms – all fitted with en-suites, natch – the mid-19th century palatial house has a gym, an underground garage, a wine cellar, a cinema room, a play room, a massage room, a spa and – as you might expect from the fashion-obsessed couple – a dedicated dressing and beauty room to house all their clothes.

Kim Kardashian buys HERSELF a promise ring from Pete Davidson
The vast kitchen often appears on Victoria and Romeo’s TikToks, revealing a gleaming four-oven Aga (prices start at £12,785, fact fans), a separate island, and a TV integrated into the wall. There’s also a granny annexe of sorts, where Brooklyn lived with his fiancée Nicola Peltz until June last year, when they bought their own $10.5m five-bed cough starter home in LA. As if all that wasn’t amazing enough, there are also rumours of a secret access tunnel, leading from the main property to a smaller house nearby – also owned by the mega-rich family. It allows staff and security – as well as the Beckhams themselves – to enter and leave without being seen by photographers.
But it looks like Beckingham Palace 2.0 could do with a little more love. Reports claim the family have now had to seal off parts of the building, including a raised terrace that is said to be “so close to collapse” that no one can use it. Planning permission could see them waiting months to sort things out, and neighbours on the road could also be an issue after David’s representatives personally submitted objections to a neighbour’s proposed extensions last year.
Oh well, if things get really bad, they do have homes in Miami, the South of France, Dubai, and the Cotswolds, so let’s not feel too sorry for them.
