It’s fair to say that Coleen Rooney has had a lot going on in her life over the past few years.
Between moving back to the UK from America, overseeing the construction of their massive Cheshire mega-mansion, and pulling no punches in her legal battle with arch-rival Rebekah Vardy, she’s had a lot on her plate.
Add to that the fact that her marriage to Wayne has continued to come under scrutiny and the small matter of raising their four boys, and it’s a mystery how she even manages to get dressed in the morning.

But as things begin to calm down – the family settles into their sprawling property, three out of four boys are in school full-time, and even Wayne has managed to avoid hitting the headlines for a good few months – an insider tells heat that all this peace and quiet means it could be a good time to welcome another baby into the brood.
“Col’s still doing the school run, clearing up after the boys and taking them to clubs and parties, but there’s more downtime now,” says an insider close to the 35-year-old WAG, who’s mum to Kai, 12, Klay, eight, Kit, six, and four-year-old Cass.
“While she’s never said publicly that she wants a girl – as she’s more than happy with her gorgeous boys, who adore their mum and entertain her constantly – with five lads in the house, it wouldn’t be the strangest thing to want a bit of female solidarity. Coleen’s a real girl’s girl, who’s close to her mum, friends and female relatives.”

“She honestly can’t believe how fast the years are flying by – especially because the last two have been such a blur, what with the house, the court case and lockdown. She feels like Cass is a proper little boy now, and she’s not sure she’s ready for the next stage in their lives yet.”
As heat has previously told you, moving into their new gaff has made Coleen start thinking seriously about expanding her brood – especially now all the building work is complete. The 40-acre estate includes an indoor swimming pool, a football pitch, a cinema, a library, two lifts and two fishing lakes, which, our source says, is all fantastic, but quite geared towards Wayne’s interests.
“Of course, a little girl could enjoy a kick about, or catching a trout,” we’re told. “But those things tend to be more boyish activities, and Coleen does imagine what it would be like to have another girl Rooney running around.”
With four boys and Wayne outnumbering her, the source says Coleen thinks a daughter would enrich their family and make their huge new residence feel more homely. And, hey, with all that space to fill, why should they even stop at one more?
“Coleen sees the new house as a new chapter,” says our insider. “When they first started work on it four years ago, Coleen couldn’t imagine having more kids, but now that Cass is getting older, she is feeling extremely broody again.”
The source continues, “Coleen’s turning 36 next month, which is making her think about the future. If she were to get pregnant this year, there’s enough time to have another baby before she turns 40. She and Wayne are always joking about having their own five-a-side – or even six kids – and she knows that he’d love a little girl just as much as she would. The timing just feels right.”
