Love Island 2019 couple Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins announced their shock split earlier this week after seven months of dating and if their latest social media posts are anything to go by, things could be turning nasty between them already.
Although Curtis hasn’t publicly spoken out about their split, after Maura released a statement on her Instagram story, fans accused the dancer of making a dig at his ex with his most recent Instagram post.
He shared a cute family snap of himself and brother AJ with their parents with the caption, “#Family. The people that always support me…,” but some thought he was throwing shade at Maura, especially after AJ replied, “Always support each other…”
One of Curtis’ followers commented, “It’s a shame [you’ve] both chosen to dig at each other on social media.”
Another wrote, “Shadyyyyyyy,” while a third remarked, “Very predictable Mr Nice Guy act.”

Curtis’ post comes after Maura seemingly broke her silence about the split in an Instagram post of her own.
Alongside an extremely glam snap of herself, she wrote, “A strong woman never gives up on herself, but she may give up on you,” possibly hinting at her breakup with the The Greatest Dancer star.

Following her split with Curtis, it’s been claimed that Maura has grown close to her Dancing on Ice partner Alexander Demetriou in recent weeks.
According to reports, Alexander’s wife Carlotta Edwards is concerned her husband has “had his head turned” by Maura, leading to a series of rows.
A source told The Sun, “Maura spent hours and hours with Alex in rehearsals for weeks and they have got really close.
“They have grown very friendly and it’s not gone unnoticed with the rest of the cast and crew — or Carlotta.
“She is furious about their increasingly cosy relationship which has continued despite Maura being knocked out of the competition. There are clearly some feelings there which Maura can’t help.”
