Perhaps one of the strangest celeb stories EVER was revealed back in 2016 when actual royal Princess Beatrice allegedly slashed Ed Sheeran in the face while jokingly attempting to knight James Blunt with a ceremonial sword.
The Shape of You singer, who recently became a dad for the first time, was attending a dinner party at the Royal Lodge in Windsor with his now-wife Cherry Seaborn and around 20 guests when the incident reportedly occurred.
It was claimed at the time that Beatrice didn’t realise Ed was behind her when apparently swung the sword back and caught him on the cheek, which resulted in him needing hospital treatment.
Ed seemed to have taken the incident in his stride and even made a joke about having his “face cut open” while on stage a month later but, four years on, his manager Stuart Camp has spoken out for the first time and it’s safe to say he’s not Princess Beatrice’s biggest fan.
The music boss blasted Beatrice for nearly causing Ed serious harm and revealed he was encouraged to lie about the situation.

Ed comes from a very creative family - his parents are in the art world and his brother is a composer, so it's no surprise that Ed was encouraged towards music from a young age. He began singing at his local church from the age of four, and learned to play the guitar at 11, even writing songs whilst still at high school. He made it into the National Youth Theatre in London and also performed with Youth Music Theatre UK in 2007. (Pictured at the 'Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk' gallery exhibition in 2019.)
