After racking up 10 million subscribers in seven years, YouTube duo Ethan and Grayson Dolan, aka the Dolan twins, basically ran the internet, but last year they suddenly went quiet on all their social media and stopped posting videos.
So, just what happened to the Dolan twins and why did they stop posting on YouTube? And where are Ethan and Grayson now?

Who are Ethan and Grayson Dolan?
Ethan and Grayson started out as a comedy duo on Vine (R.I.P) when they were 13. Since then they've branched out across YouTube, Instagram and Twitter, and, as of 2019, they even broke into the world of fashion with Louis Vuitton inviting them to their Summer 'X' exhibition.
The twins have been on social media for almost a decade and now that we've spotted them, it would be fair to say we're obsessed. They're funny AND fit, and we can't get enough. Ethan's off the market and currently dating influencer Kristina Alice, but the jury's still out on whether Grayson's single. Still some hope yet, ladies.
How old are the Dolan twins?
Ethan and Grayson are currently 22 years old. They were born on 16 December 1999.
What happened to the Dolan twins?
After going silent on their social media channels, the Dolan twins announced in January 2021 that they had decided to quit YouTube because they were no longer interested in the platform.
Speaking on their podcast Deeper With the Dolan Twins, Grayson explained, "We are not moving on from YouTube because we have a lack of appreciation for you guys. Your support over the past seven years of our lives — I can’t even explain the level of appreciation I have for you."
Where is Grayson Dolan now?
Grayson hasn't posted on Instagram since May 2021 when he shared the latest addition to his family, an adorable pet pooch called Sledge.
"Guys I’m a new Dad. I finally found a dog that I’m not allergic to," he wrote on social media.
Where is Ethan Dolan now?
Ethan also continues to remain inactive on social media. Last November, Ethan was reportedly seen in Sydney with his Australian girlfriend Kristina Alice but he hasn't made a major public appearance since then. His last Instagram post is of his adorable puppy and he wrote alongside the snap, "Never thought I’d see the day... welcome to the family".
What happened to the Dolan twins' dad?
Ethan and Grayson's dad, Sean Dolan, sadly passed away from cancer in January 2019. The pair first revealed their father's diagnosis in 2016 and, since his passing, have both written tributes to their "best friend" on Instagram.
In a heartbreaking post, Grayson wrote, "I miss you so f--kin much already Dad. I know that even though you're not physically here with me on earth, that you are with me in spirit.
"You are responsible for for making me the person that I am so proud to be today."
Do the Dolan twins have any other brothers and sisters?
Yes, Ethan and Grayson have an older sister called Cameron who's 23 years old.
What's the Sister Squad?
The Sister Squad was the unofficial name for the cool kids on the YouTube block, AKA Ethan and Grayson, Emma Chamberlain and beauty guru James Charles.
The group hasn't been together in a WHILE, since 2018 to be exact, but Emma and James recently filmed a collab together so we've got our fingers crossed for the group's reunion.
That said, in their YouTube video "Addressing assumptions about us..." the twins addressed fan speculation that they had "dropped their friends." Ethan didn't fully deny the claims, saying rather, "You have to make sure that your friends are your friends for the right reasons and they're not just -
"-doing it to get some clout," finished Grayson.

While Ethan's all loved up in 2022 with Kristina Alice, we're still stuck in 2018 trying to find out what WAS going on with YouTube queen Emma Chamberlain.
The pair were very close and sparked serious dating rumours when Ethan responded to a Twitter troll's comment about Emma's "crusty lips."
"Her lips deffffinitely aren’t crusty," wrote Ethan.

In a post from July 2020, Ethan Dolan announced that he initially made the decision to go vegan at the end of 2019.
He wrote, "The transition from eating whatever I wanted to being strictly vegan was actually seamless and one of the easiest things I’ve ever done. I had fun finding my new favorite meals and vegan alternatives of my old favs."
It's unclear whether Grayson has 100 per cent joined the plant-based bandwagon, but he's pictured with his "Veeg chickin' slides at the Gran Can" on Instagram so we'll take that as a half yes 😂

Ethan and Grayson have both picked tattoos for each other, not to mention each getting tats designed by fans in 2018.
Ethan was the latest of the two to get inked and, yesterday, shared a video of an artist tattooing a picture of his girlfriend Kristina onto his arm over Instagram.
