While we’re all trying to find new ways to keep ourselves busy, Gemma Collins has one particular activity in mind as we’re told she’s planning her very own “quarantine baby”.
“Gem has decided that when all of this is over, she wants to come back into the spotlight with a huge surprise for everyone,” an insider tells heat. “This is the first time she’s properly been able to take a break – and therefore thinks it’s the perfect time to have a child.”
Gemma and on/off boyfriend James “Arg” Argent were pictured out together last week, enjoying their daily exercise together. Their eight-year relationship has been especially dramatic over the last six months after Arg, 32, was rushed to hospital twice at the end of last year after allegedly overdosing on drugs, and then spent nearly three months in rehab in Thailand. And now, with Arg flying home last month and the couple reunited, we’re told Gemma is determined to become a mother – and even has a back up plan if Arg isn't on board.

“She’s worrying pals because, as always, she is moving full steam ahead with it, and has said she’ll do it with or without Arg,” our source explains.
“Of course, she wants him to be the father of her child, but if he's not up for it then she hasn’t ruled out adoption or surrogacy. However she knows that given what's going on at the moment, that's not something she can make plans for. Her best bet is for and Arg to conceive together and that would be her ideal option.”

As recently as December, the 38 year old told friends, “I am ready for the next step. That is all I am waiting for in my life. I want to get engaged, I want to get married and I want to have a baby."
Now in lockdown with her beau, we’re told Gemma is taking a relaxed approach to becoming a mum, but she’s got her eyes on the prize.
“She says she's not feeling rushed and they're just happy to be back together – but at the same time she's hoping to have some exciting news to tell the world by the summertime.”
