Holly Willoughby, 38, and Phillip Schofield, 57, marked their 10 year anniversary of presenting This Morning together today.

To celebrate the special occasion, iconic TV duo Ant and Dec marched into the studio to surprise them and take over the last 45 minutes of the show.

Holly and Phil seemed totally shocked to be joined by the familiar faces as they were just expecting to see the pair in a VT.

Seemingly appearing from nowhere at the end of the fashion segment, the boys soon walked out shouting "Stop this nonsense!... You’re probably wondering why we’ve gatecrashed your lovely This Morning makeover?"

A shocked Holly responded, "What are you doing? You’re supposed to be on the VT! Oh my God!"

Dec continued, "You don’t need your scripts for the rest of the morning, because we are in charge. Phil and Holly, This Is Your Anniversary!"

The This Morning family gathered to celebrate Holly and Phil's phenomenal success. Vanessa Feltz, Dr. Ranj, Deidre, The Speakmans and Love Island star Kem Cetinay beamed at the popular TV duo.

Holly revealed it "doesn't feel like it's been ten year"' and Phil insisted how fun it is working with Holly.

Referring to Ant and Dec's iconic friendship, Phil praised Holly saying, "We do lots of serious things, but we have lots of fun. Like you guys [Ant & Dec], it’s working with your best mate."

A montage of Phil and Holly’s best bits from the past 10 years were shown and included lots of their most memorable times.

The celebrations continued with guests joining via live satellite link. Show favourite Miriam Margolyes joined live from Australia and called the TV duo 'darlings', while TV chef Gino D’Acampo thanked the pair in a heartfelt message.

In a sweet surprise, some of Holly’s favourite guests joined them on the show including dad Singe Greene plus sons Reef and Finn. The touching story of a mum who died from cancer and left a list for her husband of the things she wanted him to do with their sons when she was gone.

Of course, the 10 year anniversary celebrations were completed with a look back and Phil and Holly's famous morning after the NTA's, where they presented the show without having gone to bed!

The popular presenting couple's TV anniversary comes after they opened up about the future of their work on the show, and admitted they would love to continue for another 10 years.

Holly, who has joined Phillip's side for the last 10 years also confirmed what her co-host said, "I hope it continues to be in people’s front room for the next 10 years. I hope it continues to grow, I feel that's a real strength of the show."

Phillip has been presenting This Morning since 2002 and was joined by Holly in 2009, with the pair presenting Monday - Thursday, and Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes taking over on Fridays.

The exciting anniversary comes as the pair return to the show after a couple of months off for the summer.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV

Back when Tina was doing her dance, and Jon was looking for romance, Holly was doing a pretty impressive job as a stand in member of S Club 7 for their TV movie S Club 7: Artistic Differences. In the children's comedy, the band split when artistic differences tore them apart (Paul heading off to start a rival band, Rachel leaving to get married) – but Holly helped keep the peace as a character named Zoe.
