After going public back in 2018, Love Island 2016 star Kady McDermott and her former TOWIE star boyfriend, Myles Barnett, took to Instagram to share the news of a HUGE step they had taken in their then eight-month relationship - they had bought a bungalow together.

At the time Kady posted a picture of Myles on Instagram with the caption "So this morning we picked up the keys to our house! @ourbungalowproject_ @myles_barnett love you ❤️🏠🔑."

This began a three year renovation project the couple documented on an Instagram page at the time called 'Our Bungalow Project', now titled McDermott's Manor. This name change likely came due to the fact Myles and Kady broke up in 2021. Better changing it to "McDermott's Manor' than "My Bungalow Project" (sob).

With the extensive renovations now completed you can visit this Instagram account to track the lengthy process of transforming this bungalow into a three floor, six bedroom house. And from seeing the final results we can say it was definitely worth the wait.

Join us as we take you on a tour of Zara's dream house. Pretend we're estate agents... and that you have enough money to buy what would likely be a pricey home if Kady ever puts it back on the market.

The floor-plan

The renovations have really come a long way from when Kady and Myles posted the floor-plan of the house on Instagram.

She captioned the post, "So here it is!🙊🙏🏻 the final design of the ground floor! This is everything we have dreamed of and I’m so excited to put this drawing to life!"

Well now Kady's dream has come a reality. Join us as we explore her beautiful renovated home.

Front room

Every house needs a nice front room, and Kady's really delivers on the coziness you'd expect with a chic, modern twist. Whilst the room looks a little bare in the photo she posted nearly a year ago on Instagram, we are sure she has since filled it with a lovely selection of books and ornaments. And check out that TV, it's mahoosive (although not quite as big as the cinema screen 👀).

What would a front room be without a nice comfy sofa? Well there are no concerns on that front as Kady purchased some lovely sofas that really compliment the interior design of the house.

Kitchen/ utility room

In keeping with the sleek design of her front room, Kady's kitchen and utility room really fits the modern, minimalist look of her renovated house. Whilst the photo she posted on Instagram looked a little bare, it was one of the first pictures she posted where you could really envision how it would look once completed... Just imagine what it looks like now.

Downstairs toilet

For her toilet Kady kept things simple, going for sleek tiles and a floor tiling pattern used throughout the house. We have to say it looks VERY tasteful.

Cinema room

As with any house Kady has all the essentials, such as a toilet, a utility room and... a cinema room? Yep, you heard us right: Kady McDermott has a cinema in her house (imagine). Fair enough, if you could have a cinema in your house why wouldn't you have one? I wonder how much a ticket would cost? Also is she somehow able to get the latest flicks or does she have to trek out to a Vue cinema like the rest of us? If she does we're sure she goes for one of those boujee VIP seats though.

The room also comes complete with led lights that spell out, "Yes NETFLIX, I'm still watching", and remote controlled blackout curtains. It is located in the house's attic.

Dog shower

Ok, this is getting silly now. Kady's house is made complete with a shower designed specially for her dog. Sadly he can't operate it for himself seeing as he's, you know... a dog. And dog's famously don't have opposable thumbs... or know what showers are. But regardless, this doggy shower makes for an adorable addition to the house.

The shower also comes with "woof" affectionately tiled into the floor. Now we sadly can't translate this message as none of us speak doggo, but we're sure Kady's pooch Coby appreciates it.

Guest bedroom

We love the simplicity of Kady's bedroom. She posted a photo of the room with the caption "Simple and pretty 💖

"My home hasn’t got loads of colour if you haven’t guessed already haha, I just love black, white grey and nudes for interior but this pop of pink in the first guest bedroom with the matching pink tiles in the en-suite I literally looooove and think it brightens the room for my guests☺️"

And we have to say, the decision to keep things simple and go minimalist when it comes to colour really pays off as it means the colour Kady does use just stands out that bit more.

Garden

Kady's house all comes together when you step out of the kitchen and see her beautiful garden. Check out this incredible transformation video she posted on Instagram. It's such a drastic improvement on the original garden and we're sure she'll be able to make good use out of it when things get a bit warmer.
