Maisie Smith is reportedly wanted by several major record labels amid rumours she’s set to quit her role as Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders.

The actress first joined the BBC soap when she was seven years old and has starred on and off in the show for the past 13 years, but it’s claimed she has chosen not to renew her contract when it expires in October to follow in the footsteps of former co-stars Ben Hardy and Himesh Patel who have both made it big in Hollywood.

There could be another option for the Strictly Come Dancing finalist as record label bosses have apparently tipped the multi-talented 19-year-old to become ‘the next Dua Lipa’.

“Maisie can sing, dance and act — she’s a triple threat. A couple of major record labels are desperate to sign her as they think she could be hugely successful,” a source revealed to The Sun.

“She could be the next Dua Lipa or Rita Ora, appearing in films alongside performing — the world really is her oyster. Her voice is impressive and she has a huge range.

“Maisie is really versatile and has already amassed a huge fanbase. She’s also got a feisty, fun personality, which makes her stand out.”
