When Taylor Swift kicked off her Eras Tour in March 2023, fans were unlikely to have guessed that, nearly a year-and-a-half later, she’d still be on the road – but with a new boyfriend waiting at home.
This week sees Taylor, 34, ending the latest leg of her smash tour after five more shows at Wembley Arena. There’s then a two-month break before Taylor hits the stage again, and with rumours that an engagement could be round the corner, the singer is apparently excited to get “straight back” to Travis Kelce.
According to reports, Taylor plans on spending the three-month break playing house with boyfriend Travis, 34, supporting him as the NFL season kicks off in September. And insiders say that the Kansas City Chiefs player is pulling out all the stops to make Taylor comfortable in his $6m mansion, which has a swimming pool, waterfall and mini golf course in its grounds.
“Taylor’s counting down the days – they both are,” the insider says. “He’s been getting the place ready for her. They’ve spent extended time under one roof before, but this is her effectively moving in with him, and shows how comfortable and committed they are in the long term.”
When Taylor and Travis were first linked last summer, months after her split from long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn, Taylor was in the middle of the first leg of the tour. Opportunities for long stretches of quality time together have been few and far between for the couple, but it’s not just physical proximity to Taylor that Travis is craving. With Taylor’s name being linked to a number of horrific incidents in recent weeks, we’re told he desperately wants his girl back home and safe.
Last month, the singer was left heartbroken after a stabbing in Southport at a Taylor Swift-themed children’s dance class, which left three children dead and eight more injured, along with two adults. Then last week, the singer’s Vienna shows were cancelled following reports of an ISIS-related terror plot planned at the concerts.
The experience has left Taylor shaken up, and the insider says, “It’s been so horrible and Travis hates having to sit back and do nothing. He’s been counting the days until she’s back in his arms and away from any potential danger.”
