Big Brother came to an end on Friday 15 November when Ali Bromley was crowned the winner, but her time in the Big Brother 2024 house wasn’t entirely smooth sailing.

While Ali formed a firm friendship with Lily Benson, she also found herself at odds with a number of other housemates including Khaled Khaled and Marcello Spooks.

In fact, Ali and Marcello even rowed the night before the final when he accused her of ‘jumping’ on him when she called him out for ‘objectifying women’ earlier in the series. But, just 24 hours, after their argument, Ali and Marcello found themselves alone in house together when they made it to the final two.

While we thought those final moments in the house could have been awkward given Ali and Marcello’s previous clashes and, let’s face it, he didn’t look best pleased when hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best announced her as the winner, but it turns out that the pair actually shared some ‘really nice’ words before leaving through the front door.

Speaking about the moment she and Marcello were sat on the sofas together, Ali exclusively told heatworld, ‘So, I didn't see [Marcello's] face, because I think at that moment I was like, "What have I just heard?" Look, I had Marcello pegged as the winner, not myself, and it was only when I heard people cheering my name outside that I was like, "Hold on, people don't hate me? Maybe it's not going to be as bleak out there as I thought.”

‘We did have a little comment between us about, like, "Can you imagine? What are the chances that it's us two?" and we'd had the argument the night before and we had a little laugh about that.’

Ali added, ‘I didn't see his facial expression and I haven't asked him how he felt about it, but the words that he said to me were really nice. He was just really supportive and he gave me a hug and stuff. But I'll watch the episode back at some point.’

Since Ali won the show, it’s been revealed that she received over half of the public votes – meaning she received more votes than Marcello and fellow finalists Emma Morgan, Hanah Haji, Nathan King and Segun Shodipo combined.

Talk about a worthy winner.
