A far as Love Island romances go, the one between Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti was most certainly, ahem, tempestuous.
During their time on the dating show, the series 8 winners lived out an enemies to lovers storyline worthy of a dark romance novel. We will never forget Ekin crawling across the terrace to kiss Jay Younger and Davide screaming the iconic, 'you're a liar, actress, go the f**k out!'
Despite the drama - or perhaps because of it - they won their season of Love Island and continued to date outside of the villa, but with rumours of infidelity and rows constantly haunting the couple, they split in January 2024.
Ekin ended up joining Love Island: All Stars series two where she started up a romance with Curtis Pritchard. The duo finished in third place and are still going strong.
As for Davide, the gym bro has been in a new relationship with Iris Au since January 2025, but his partner recently hit headlines after she pleaded guilty for 'failing to report ill-gotten gains she obtained via her then boyfriend's criminal cryptocurrency activities.'
During a recent interview, Ekin-Su was quizzed about Davide and his partner, and she was very Ekin-Su about their predicament...
'I hope she’s fine and I hope he’s fine,' Ekin told The Sun, 'and I hope they sort those issues out together.'
It has been reported that Iris could face up to three years in prison with Davide vowing to 'protect her,'throughout the ordeal.
'No one wants to be in prison, do they?' the bombshell went and well no, not really, Ekin.
'It is what it is, and I hope they’re happy,' she added.
We can't imagine either are thrilled about the possibility of Iris doing time but it's nice to know that Ekin-Su wishes only good things for her ex.
