It's a bit mushy to admit, but after so many years of following the lives of various Love Island stars – and interviewing them accordingly at certain personal and professional milestones (or just because they've started promoting some product they don't know the name of without a cue card, whatever) – we do develop a soft spot for some of them, and Love Island 2018's Laura Anderson is without a doubt one of them.
Her boy troubles in the villa were ALL our boy troubles and her IRL ups and downs since have been intensely relatable, too. That's the word – relatable. Laura is a relatable queen and we want her to know that heat has her back.

That's why it's so joyous to see her doing so well lately after a turbulent time over the years.
She's currently living the wholesome life by the coast with her little girl Bonnie (who she shares with actor Gary Lucy) and her footballer boyfriend, Clark Robertson (okay, we can't relate to having a studly footballer boyfriend) and genuinely seems so happy.
So imagine our excitement when Laura dropped the word 'engagement' in a recently exclusive chinwag with heat...
When we asked her what she's manifesting for the future, she told us, 'A massive engagement ring! I just want what everybody wants, it would be nice to be married.'

Okay, so not an official engagement announcement, but it certainly seems like things are going in the right direction for our Love Island queen – in fact, it seems the couple both see each other as 'the one' and want to have more children together at some point, too (Clark has two children from a previous relationship).
Laura said, 'We both said that we wanted to meet somebody who already had kids. When you put your children first you hope that the next person you meet understands that. We both said on the first date that we wanted more children but not right now. Bonnie’s a lot to handle and we’ve just stared our new life together, so we’ll give it a little bit of time before we jump into that – with a ring first!'
Laura started dating the Scottish pro footballer last year and hard launched the relationship on Instagram in October 2024.

Laura is, of course best known for her famous stint on Love Island 2018, where she had short-lived dalliances with Wes Nelson, Jack Fowler and Paul Knops, the turbulence in her love life continued away from the ITV dating show.
In 2022, she famously shacked up with former Hollyoaks and EastEnders actor Gary Lucy after they met on E4’s Celebs Go Dating and broke the Dating Agency's number one rule: don't date the other celebs.
The pair broke up before their daughter Bonnie was born, with Gary confirming the split less than 24 hours after Laura announced her pregnancy on Instagram.
