Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill has had some savage words to say about Michael Griffiths, after he slammed the show, saying it portrayed him in a negative light.

The reality star, who was famously dumped Amber on the show, told MailOnline the way the show was edited made him look like the bad boy of the series.

Yet when this was put to Amber at the launch of Winter Wonderland, the 22-year-old commented, "No, it wasn't the edit. If you don't say s**t, they can't show it."

And when Michael was told about what his former flame had just said, he responded, "I'm surprised she said that, as I spoke to her on Tuesday and she said everything was fine between us and she had no hard feelings."

Michael's recent comments come after he said he preferred filming the latest series of MTV's Ex On The Beach over Love Island.

"You'll see a completely different side to me [on Ex On The Beach] and I won't come across as some kind of villain."

"In Ex On The Beach I'm a lot more open than I was on Love Island about how I'm feeling, and that's hard for me because I've been a closed guy since I was a teenager.

"So for me to open up and tell someone how I feel and when something's not right and explain why it's not right, that's a lot for me."

Michael confessed, "I think I preferred Ex On The Beach because it was a bit more natural. You can have little bit more fun to be honest."
