We’ve been suffering from serious Love Island withdrawals after this year’s summer series was cancelled by ITV earlier back in May and while Love Island Australia had us completely obsessed, we’re in desperate need for another fix of our fave dating show.

Well, there’s good news as a brand new series of Love Island USA is on the way and it starts next month.

YAAAAS, this is just the news we needed.

After the exciting announcement that the American edition of the show was returning for a second series, it's been confirmed that the episodes will be shown on ITV2 starting from Monday 7th September.

This series is taking place in one of the most famous cities in the world, Las Vegas, as a hot new batch of singletons look for love in a stunning villa on top of Caesars Entertainment’s boutique hotel, The Cromwell.

Host Arielle Vandenberg and narrator Matthew Hoffman are returning to preside over all the dating dramz as the Islanders couple up in the hopes of finding The One (and bagging $50,000 while they're at it).

Paul Mortimer, ITV’s Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions said: “We’re thrilled that ITV2 can bring the latest US version of Love Island to viewers this year.

"Las Vegas may seem like an odd destination for the show but the canny producers have beaten Covid with a show that adheres to all production protocols and that could well be sensational.

"Certainly the ‘villa’ is impressive and the cast diverse and amazing. We believe Love Island fans will embrace this Sin City twist, my bet is the series will be another big hit."

ITV launching 'ground-breaking' new dating show to replace Love Island

Of course, with the coronavirus pandemic still ongoing, bosses are taking serious safety precautions including moving the show from the Fiji villa it was filmed in last year to the new Las Vegas location.

Cast and crew will all be socially distancing as much as possible (although the Islanders are still allowed to get up close and personal in the Hideaway), with regular COVID-19 tests taking place.

Love Island USA begins in America tonight, with a two-hour premiere episode on CBS as the Islanders settle in to their new digs and couple up for the first time. A new hour-long episode will air every night, with a special show featuring unseen bits, exclusive interviews and the best moments of the week will air on Saturday evening so there will be plenty for us to catch up on.

Love Island USA starts on ITV2 on Monday 7th September at 9pm.
