Is it just us (don't worry if is; it often is, but we back ourselves), or were we all robbed of that Love Island: All Stars storyline between Luca Bish x Samie Elishi WAY too early?
We genuinely thought that was going to top the Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu x Curtis Pritchard x Danielle Sellers love triangle drama at one point and then suddenly Samie is sent packing – Samie Elishi...the bombshell of bombshells.
ICYMI, Grace Jackson and Luca were happy as Larry until bombshell strutted into the villa with tunnel vision for Luca. After it was brought to light that Luca had DM'd Samie IRL and that they both fancied each other, we all wondered whether Samie's arrival would seriously rattle Grace and Luca.
The drama reached new heights when Luca kissed Samie in a challenge, despite JUST telling Grace that he wouldn't. Grace then demanded Luca shut things down with Samie and after a couple of rows (involving pretty much the whole villa), he did, resulting in Samie being sent home.
Okay, yes, good on queen Grace Jackson for laying down those boundaries from the moment she sniffed out any foul play (one day we'll learn to do the same), but we were expecting far more from that Love Island dramz. Samie only managed five days in the villa, FFS.
Turns out there was more drama, we just didn't see it.
Luckily for us, as the all-important final fast approaches, our All Stars are starting to drop like flies, which means they're being sent back home to do loads of press = spilling tea on their fellow Islanders with journos like us, and bombshell Danielle Sellers (you know, the one Curtis did that Wicked 'holding space' thing with in bed in the Hideaway) has the inside scoop on what really went down with the Love Island couple that never quite was.
In an interview with, she revealed the real reason the romance fizzled out so quickly and even commented on whether Samie is still a keen bean for Luca.
Danielle explained, 'It's hard coming in as a bombshell, everyone was just too scared to budge. Even when Samie came in, it was so obvious that Luca liked her.
'He probably would want to end up with Samie when he comes out, but Samie's not going to want to be with him after that because she was putting herself out there and she knew that he liked her.
'The fact he wasn't giving her anything even though it was so obvious even off screen he was just so flirty with her.'
She told The Sun, 'You can just see the connection between them, but then he would be like, "oh, it's nothing, I'm all for Grace".
'I definitely think maybe if there was more time he would have explored it with Samie because it was just very obvious.
'I know he's probably thinking, "oh, if it doesn't work out with Grace I can slide back into her DMs and she won't ignore it", but she will definitely.'
