After their shock split back in August, fans witnessed Love Island golden couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury give their relationship another go during the second part of her Amazon Prime documentary, Behind It All, last week. And now, the pair are said to be looking to take the next step by welcoming a sibling for their two-year-old daughter Bambi – but it’s a notion dredging up some difficult feelings for Molly-Mae.

‘Molly and Tommy would both love another baby,’ an insider tells heat. ‘They want a big family – being a tight unit with Bambi is the best thing in their lives, and they want more of it. They have been talking about it a lot.’

But despite Molly and Tommy, both 25, being keen to expand their family – with the influencer previously saying, ‘I really want Bambi to have a sister’ – we’re told the thought of being pregnant again is causing some anxiety, particularly as Molly is conscious that a second child could put more pressure on their relationship.

Our source says, ‘Molly was very open about her struggles with pregnancy – it wasn’t easy for her, and there’s a fear she can’t risk falling apart again when they’re still working on rebuilding their relationship. It was during her pregnancy that Tommy started going off the rails, and while Molly didn’t feel she was able to be as emotionally available for him as he perhaps needed, she was also so angry at his lack of support for her.’

The couple met on Love Island in 2019, welcoming daughter Bambi in January 2023 and getting engaged six months later. Their split last summer shocked fans, and it wasn’t long before boxer Tommy faced cheating allegations, which he vehemently denied.

He later revealed the reason for their split was due to his drinking, saying, ‘We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be any more. Most nights I would drink to get blackout drunk.’

Molly has previously opened up about how she struggled with pregnancy, saying, ‘I cried literally every single day. Emotions were very high and I felt sad a lot, which was very weird because all our dreams had come true.’

Molly continued to struggle after Bambi arrived, and she has admitted, ‘Those first few weeks of Bambi’s life [were] hell and back. We were having a breakdown. The first night with Bambi in the house, I was by myself. Now I look back, it sends shivers down my spine, I had no idea what I was doing.’ She also added that breastfeeding was a ‘dark, dark time’.

She later revealed during an Instagram Q&A, ‘I’m not going to beat around the bush, I was not prepared [for motherhood]. Bambi’s completely and utterly worth it, though – every single hard moment!’

For now, we’re told, Molly and Tommy are trying to take the pressure off themselves, particularly concerning having another baby. Our insider says, ‘Both of them feel that if it’s something that happens naturally without them planning, that would be amazing. But the uncertainty surrounding that is also nerve-wracking, so they just want to live in the now and take it day by day. They know what they want – they’ve got big hopes and dreams. But they don’t want to be so obsessed with chasing milestones that it drives them apart again.’

And in the spirit of living in the now, our source says the couple have hit pause on wedding planning. ‘They have decided not to talk about it for now,’ we’re told. ‘They both feel it’s just too much pressure to start planning a wedding, as it creates a lot of stress at the best of times. They both know the most important thing is what they have right now – the three of them happy and together.’
