Molly-Mae Hague began 2024 loved-up with fiancé Tommy Fury and about to celebrate their daughter Bambi’s first birthday, so she never could have predicted she’d be single by its end. But while the Love Island stars’ split hasn’t been easy – with Tommy being forced to deny cheating rumours – insiders tell heat that social media star Molly-Mae will do anything to give her daughter the perfect Christmas, even if it means dealing with the emotional turmoil of seeing her ex.
A source close to Molly-Mae, 25, reveals, ‘This isn’t the Christmas either she or Tommy expected, but Molly-Mae is determined to make the most of it and to make it as special as possible for Bambi. She’s planning to surround herself with family and friends over Christmas, and everyone is rallying round because they know it’s going to be tough. It felt a bit strange taking Bambi to see Santa on her own, but she’s getting used to life as a single mum and that means doing stuff on your own at Christmas, as well.’
Reuniting with Tommy, 25, will undoubtedly be difficult for Molly-Mae, who parted ways from the boxer in August, five years after they met in the Love Island villa. When she announced the end of their relationship in the summer, Molly-Mae said that she was ‘extremely upset’, and Tommy moved out of her £3.8 million Cheshire mansion. But, as we told you last week, the vlogger’s emotional turmoil has only continued, as she’s been feeling the pressure over whether she takes Tommy back or not. He’s confessed his love for her in interviews, saying that he will love her ‘until my final breath’, but it seems Molly-Mae wants proof that Tommy has changed his behaviour.
However, we’re told that Molly-Mae is willing to set her fears aside this Christmas, and that Tommy will see Bambi on the big day. ‘Molly-Mae absolutely loves this time of year and has been working hard to just make everything perfect,’ the insider continues. ‘They are both just determined to make sure that nothing gets in the way of their daughter having the very best time.’
Last year was a special Christmas for Molly-Mae, as it marked her first as a parent after writing in her 2022 memoir that she and Tommy talked about becoming parents ‘every single day’. For Bambi’s first Christmas Day, doting dad Tommy dressed up as an elf while his daughter wore a ‘Mrs Clause’ outfit, and the new family recreated a photo taken the year before in matching pyjamas when Molly-Mae was pregnant.
This year, however, Molly-Mae has been determined to keep the magic of Christmas alive for Bambi and herself. She revealed that she is hosting at her home, writing, ‘I can’t wait to have everyone here and make it super special.’ She’s also continued her festive traditions by taking ‘mummy’s girl’ Bambi to see Santa at a local Christmas market. In one photo, Bambi is shown crying in her smiling mum’s arms, with Molly-Mae joking, ‘I feel like the toddler crying with Santa pic is obligatory, to be honest.’
As well as reflecting on the year that’s gone, Christmas will also give Molly-Mae a chance to look forward to 2025, which is already sounding like an exciting year for the young mum. On 17 January, fans will be given a look behind the scenes at her life as she releases her new Prime Video docuseries Molly-Mae: Behind It All. She’ll also continue working on her clothing line Maebe, while also celebrating Bambi’s second birthday in January.
The source continues, ‘It’s been a tough year for Molly-Mae, and it’s not the ending to 2024 she wanted. But she’s looking forward to turning a page in 2025. She’s got loads going on including a new TV show, and she is also working on a number of other really exciting projects. Until then she’s just looking forward to making memories with Bambi and having the best Christmas she can.’
