Now there's a Love Island headline we didn't see ourselves writing while defrosting on the tube this morning.
January's a tough one for a lot of us, but here's a tip; if you think you've got it bad and you can't see a light at the end of the tunnel (for us, that's the wait before payday next week), check out Love Island 2022 star Paige Thorne's most recent TikTok for a quickie serotonin boost, because SURELY your pain can't compare to hers this week?
Actually, can we have a quick rant (with the caveat that we adore us some Paige Thorne)? Of course we can, we're heatworld. We love us an influencer, especially an Islander turned influencer, but when they try and act a little TOO relatable (at least in their minds) by, for example, filming themselves hysterically crying in a car because they hate their new hair (cause tears = relatable, right?). No. Unrelatable. Cringe, in fact. Especially when said haircut was probably (PROBABLY) a freebie because you're an influencer. Rant over.
We obvs still love you, Paige.
The Love Island star dropped the bizarre (we'll be writing that word a lot in this article) and "OTT" TikTok within a TikTok showing herself earlier this week. In the video she comments on another video of herself tearfully reacting to having her tapes out leading to what Paige hysterically dubs her new "Lord Farquad hair", which to be fair is a tremendous pop culture reference, so points for that.
A calmer Paige filmed herself telling her followers, "I took my tapes out yesterday in the hairdresser. Immediate regret."
The TikTok then cuts to a video Paige filmed upon leaving the salon in her car. In floods of hysterical tears, Paige tells her followers (why she was filming this we have no clue, so don't ask), "What is that? Oh my God. She was like, 'Oh my God, do you like it?" and I was like, 'No'. She was like, 'It looks lovely' and I was like, 'No, it doesn't'. I look like Lord Farquad from f*cking Shrek."
The TikTok Tok then cuts back to calm Paige who, while giggling, comments, "And now today I'm like, 'It's kind of cute'. It's still giving Lord Farquad on some angles, but I mean it's not that bad. Like, is anybody else that dramatic after a haircut or is it just me?"
Well, we've certainly never dashed to our car, whipped out our phone and filmed our dramatic af sorrow for our millions of followers to comment on, but hey, you do you.
And are we the only ones who thought Lord Farquad was kind of hot back in 2001? We're glad you've collected yourself, Paige, because, for the record, you look beautiful; Princess Fiona vibes (the human version) all the way, not Lord Farquad.
She captioned the post, "Lool a bit OTT." Yeah.

A TikTok follower commented, "It's giving toddlers and tiaras brat attack", to which Paige herself responded, "I'm fully aware. I've been like this my entire life when it comes to hair cuts."
We can't write about this anymore. Utterly done; not filming ourselves crying in the car done, but done.
Welsh paramedic Paige quickly became one of the favourites of Love Island 2022 thanks to her romances with Jacques O'Neill and Adam Collard, her incredible taste in bikinis and her happy go lucky personality (just don't mess with her hair).

Yep, in a 2022 snap shared by the lovely folks who looked after Paige's Instagram page while she was in the villa, Paige was shown with gorgeous natural curls.
They wrote alongside the post, "For everyone asking to see more of Paige's natural hair! She should definitely wear it like this more often 🥰."
