We're beginning to think they got an unfair edit tbh

While Love Island may have been designed as a dating show for single hopefuls to find love, it has become increasingly brutal over the years. The dumpings are becoming even more savage with each series, and some Islanders like Love Island 2021’s Shannon Singh and Love Island 2024’s Sam Taylor only got about 48 hours to make their mark before they were pushed out the door.

Love Island 2024’s Tiffany Leighton lasted just under ten days in the villa, but that didn’t make her dumping any less dramatic. This week she shed some light on what actually goes down at these dumpings, and in the process revealed that she had help from a certain love rival.

On a recent appearance of Chloe Brockett’s podcast, On the Record with Chloe B, Tiffany sat down with the TOWIE star to discuss her Love Island journey. She revealed that when she was dumped from the villa after finding herself in the bottom couples alongside then-partner Ronnie Vint, she had to make a quick exit.

“It is so awkward, and I can’t pack to save my life. So, you get dumped and [the producers] are like, ‘Right, you’ve got fifteen minutes until you’ve got to leave the villa.’ They bring your suitcases in and they’re like, ‘Go.’”

So, they’ve got about a quarter of an hour to pack and say their emotional goodbyes. That’s barely enough time for their fellow Islanders to cry and say they were all like a sister to them for the past week.

However, it turns out that Tiffany had a helping hand from none other than her love rival, Harriett Blackmore.

“I think Harriet actually packed most of my suitcase, she was really good. She was going, ‘Do you want this in here?’ Like she was good. Me, I think I was just standing there thinking like, ‘What is going on right now?’”

Harriet and Tiffany had a strained relationship considering that they were both competing for Ronnie's attention. Originally paired with Harriett, Ronnie’s head turned when Tiffany bombshelled her way into that villa, but it turns out it wasn’t meant to be.

Despite a tricky start, it’s pretty wholesome to hear that Harriett gave the girl a hand when she had to make her exit. Now, it is also possible that Harriett may have wanted Tiffany out of that villa and away from Ronnie as quickly as possible, but we’re choosing to believe in girl power and sisterhood here.
