Former Made in Chelsea stars Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott split at the end of last year after five years together and, since then, they’ve both made attempts to move on.

While Sam reportedly joined celebrity dating app Raya, Zara has been spotted on dates with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson – and now, the Staying Relevant podcast host has been linked to another reality star.

According to reports, Sam has ‘grown close’ to Too Hot to Handle star Lucy Syed after they were spotted on a night out at Chelsea hotspot The Rex Rooms.

‘Sam and Lucy were sharing direct messages over Instagram before they decided to meet up at a pub and then continue their night at The Rex Rooms,’ a source told MailOnline.

‘They looked really close in the club, chatting and cuddling up together. But their closeness continued after they spent the night partying together and the pair's connection has certainly put a smile back on Sam's face.’

They added, ‘Sam is enjoying being single again and dipping his toe back into the dating pool.’

Lucy appeared on the most recent series of Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle and although she didn’t manage to find love, she made it all the way to the final and finished as a runner-up.

Much like Sam’s ex Zara, Lucy has a passion for singing and regularly shares videos of herself performing on social media.

A source recently told heat that Zara is hoping her new boyband beau will be able to launch her career as a singer. They said, 'Things are getting serious between them. Louis thinks Zara is talented as well as gorgeous. On their first date, he told Zara how he’d been blown away by her singing videos, which was a huge confidence boost.

'While she initially thought it might just be Louis trying to woo her, he’s made it clear that’s not the case – he’s serious and he offered to help her write some tracks and land a record deal. She’s always dreamed of being a pop star, and is hoping Louis can help make that a reality.'
