It's been nearly five years since he starred on Made in Chelsea, but after splitting from Love Island girlfriend Zara McDermott fans started to speculate if Sam Thompson would be making a return to the reality TV show.
We managed to sit him down for an exclusive chat where he spilled all the tea and addressed those MIC return rumours once and for all.
'I would say, I love Made in Chelsea. You know, I still watch it every week, religiously, every week,' he admitted and we love the loyalty.
'I'm not one of those people who leaves it and goes, "Oh God, Made in Chelsea, Oh my God, let's just forget I was on it." I think reality TV gets quite a bad rap like that and I love it,' he continued.
Sam has no qualms in admitting his obsession with reality TV; we all know how much he adores Love Island, hence him being a regular panelist on Love Island: Aftersun and co-hosting the Love Island: Morning After podcast alongside Indiyah Polack.
'I will never sit there and slag off where I came from as well,' he went on, 'I had some of the best years of my life on that show. I was a young 20-year-old, just being able to go to the most amazing places; we filmed in Ibiza and Maldives, Mauritius and Cannes, like, I can't even believe that I was lucky enough to do any of that kind of stuff.'
'But having said that, I think that I'm too old,' he admitted. 'You know, it's not for me. This is the great thing, I wouldn't enjoy watching me on that show. I wouldn't, because I'm too old.'
The rumour that Sam was heading back to his roots came after fans spotted him following some MIC newbies on social media, but it turns out that he's just a Jazz Saunders and Jules Pollard fan.
'Everyone's young and sprightly, I mean, I'm in my 30s, I'm not old, but everyone's super young and sprightly. And they're going on nights out on a Tuesday and getting home at past 3am and you're like, "Oh my God, if anything goes on past one, I'm knackered the next day," and like, it just feels like I would try [and] bring it down.'
Ah well, that was short-lived; perhaps Sam will do a Joey Essex instead a be a surprise bombshell for Love Island: All Stars.
It's showbiz, baby, anything could happen.
