As much as we are always sad to see cast members quit our fave reality TV shows, ESPECIALLY the likes of Made in Chelsea and TOWIE, we do enjoy it when they take a step back and start spilling all the tea.

There’s a reason we have an entire article dedicated to whether or not the poshest ‘structured reality TV’ series around is scripted.

One MIC star who has plenty to say about the good and bad elements of the show is Spencer Matthews.

The OG was branded a 'villain' during the golden era of Made in Chelsea; what with the whole cheating on Louise Thompson fiasco. Not forgetting that painful Putney Bridge scene.

However, since Spenny quit the show, he’s practically a new man and has opened up about how brutal life on Kings Road really was.

In a recent interview the podcaster revealed he “quit far too late in the process” when it came to leaving MIC and confessed that he had “already been villainised to death by [that] stage.”

But that wasn’t the only thing Spencer lifted the lid on, as he dumped a huge BTS secret on our laps and our mouths are still hanging open from the revelation.

"Actually, you know, we were praised for creating drama,” Spencer admitted and that might well be the most insane thing we have heard a former MIC star confess in a while.

“In some cases,” he went on, “I’m sure I’ll probably get into trouble for saying this, we’d be given bonuses if we created certain levels of drama.”

WHAT?

Not the extra tenner for making up some wild storylines and causing chaos. We wonder if it’s the same on MAFS or Love Island?

And yet at the same time it makes so much sense to think some of the cast are just trying to make more bank.

Naughty, naughty producers.

No wonder Sophie Habboo called her time in the world of reality TV as ‘soul destroying.’
