Remember when we all became obsessed with the Australian edition of Married At First Sight in lockdown? Well, it’s somehow been five whole years since then. Yep, FIVE years, as in half a decade. It’s okay though, because we haven’t aged a day.
Fast forward to the here and now and only two couples from the series are still together – Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant and Martha Kalifatidis and Micheal Brunelli – but the love lives of the rest of the cast are still a regular feature in the headlines.
In fact, Jessika Power has just introduced her new boyfriend to the world and if you’re a reality TV fan (and whom amongst us isn’t?) then you might recognise him.
The Australian reality star debuted her new relationship on Instagram earlier this week when she shared a series of snaps of herself and boyfriend Ryan Loveridge and, in the caption, she admitted she didn’t expect to find love this year.
‘Well this wasn’t on my 2025 bonus card BUT can’t deny good luck and chemistry,’ Jessika wrote.
‘I adore everyone’s opinions, care and assumptions but any upsetting comments will be blocked and deleted,’ she added. ‘Shouldn’t even have to write this so use your heads.’
If Ryan looks familiar, that’s probably because he appeared on Celebs Go Dating back in 2019, three years before Jessika signed up to the Celebrity Dating Agency herself.
Ryan, a boat builder from Plymouth, featured in an episode of the E4 show when he went on a date with Sugababes star Mutya Buena. That clearly didn’t work out and now he’s happily loved up with Jessika.
Jessika had been dating British DJ Brent Anthony prior to her relationship with Ryan, but she confirmed they’d split back in September.
She made the low-key announcement when one of her followers commented on one of her Instagram posts, ‘I'm sad you and Brent broke up, you looked so happy with him.’
Jessika replied, ‘I really wasn't and I hid a lot of my emotions and embarrassment from the internet.’
Although she was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, Jessika had been living in the UK after finding fame on MAFS and meeting ex-boyfriend Connor Thompson. However, Jessika returned to her homeland last year following the death of her father.
