We’ve often wondered how bosses of our favourite shows like Married At First Sight UK and Love Island scout cast members and we think we’ve finally cracked it: they just watch loads of reality telly like the rest of us.
MAFS UK producers especially have a habit of signing up singletons who have appeared on other shows before. 2023 groom Georges Berthonneau was on Celebs Go Dating back in 2018 (where he dated TOWIE’s Chloe Sims) and it’s also come to light that loads of the 2024 cast have attempted to find fame on TV before.
Sacha Jones has been on Beauty and the Geek and MTV’s Beauty School Cop Outs, while Charlie Curtis starred on Lovestruck High, which was narrated by actual Lindsay Lohan, two years ago. Not only that, but now Lacey Martin’s past TV appearances have been exposed too.
Viewers watched Lacey walk down the aisle to meet her new man Nathan Campbell for the first time and, frankly, it was hella awkward as he appeared to fancy her twin sister Paige more.
And if you thought Lacey and Paige looked familiar then you’d be correct as they’ve been on ITV2 dating show Dress to Impress before.
Lacey featured on the show as an eligible bachelorette in 2020, with three mystery fellas hoping to bag a date with her after picking an outfit for her to wear, while Paige appeared alongside her to give her opinions on the looks.
Her first attempt at looking for love clearly didn’t work out, but that’s not putting Lacey off giving it another go and she’s gone one step further this time by marrying them they first time they meet.
As well as appearing on MAFS and Dress to Impress, Lacey has a third TV appearance to her name too. Last year, Lacey starred alongside Fred Siriex on Fred's Last Resort. The show saw Fred taking 12 young Brits off to the south of France to run a high-end hotel, with one of the recruits bagging a top job and a cash prize.
