Jesy Nelson has got her fans stirring up a storm after she hinted at releasing new music through sneaky posts on social media.
The 29-year-old singer made the huge decision to leave Little Mix at the end of 2020, and now it looks like she could be forging her own creative journey as the girls of Little Mix: Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, stand strong as a trio.
So, we thought we'd do a little digging on what Jesy is doing now...
Is Jesy Nelson going solo?
It looks rather likely and we're SO EXCITED.
The singer took to Instagram to share a snap of herself looking absolutely stunning (as she rocked the most gorgeous curls), and teased fans with the caption, writing, "Letβs go πΆπ΅πΆ'".
Fans did not hesitate to press the former Little Mix star in the comment section. One fan wrote "MAKE SOLO MUSIC ππππππππππππππ", and another wrote, "ARE WE GETTING JN1???" and here's the real exciting part - Jesy LIKED the fans comments.
That's pretty much confirmation, right?
What Is JN1?
JN1, simply translates to Jesy Nelson 1, which is referring to Jesy's first studio album that fans believe is on the horizon.
Jesy teased fans once again, a little after her first post by posting a snap of herself relaxing in a recording studio on her Instagram Story, alongside songwriters Patrick Patrikios and Hanni Ibrahim.
And Jesy is actually already well acquainted with them as they've worked on previous albums together for Little Mix.
The singer captioned the post with four cheeky monkey emojis, "ππππ".
We can only guess what this might mean, but we're absolutely buzzing at the prospect of new music.
When will Jesy Nelson's solo music be out?
According to reports, Jesy's debut solo single will be released in September 2021.
A music insider told The Sun, "Jesy spent several months at the beginning of the year working on the music and it has all come together quite quickly. Her new record label Polydor are keen to strike while the iron is hot, so they are throwing everything at her project and want the first single out in a matter of weeks.
"It is more upbeat than some Βmight be expecting and there will be plenty of choreography in the video. The difference this time is that she is not comparing herself to her bandmates. Itβs been so refreshing for her. Jesy has been working hard and is feeling really positive about this new chapter of her career.β
Who was Jesy in the studio with?
Fans shot to Twitter after they noticed that Jesy had recently started following two songwriters and one producer who she worked with on Little Mix's fifth studio album (also known as LM5).
They took this as a huge positive sign and believe it pretty much verifies their suspicion that new music from Jesy IS coming and coming SOON.
Jesy was snapped in the studio with Patrick Patrikios and Hanni Ibrahim two songwriters who worked on Little Mix's Touch and Joan of Arc - and if you've heard these hits, then you'll be aware they're absolute BOPS.
So, if this is new material that they're working on together, it's gonna be pretty EPIC.

YES PLEASE!It's not absurd to witness pop stars cross over to film and make their way into the world of acting, we've seen it done by the likes of BeyoncΓ©, Lady Gaga and Harry Styles. And Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock is already one step ahead as she's just finished filming for her debut role in an upcoming movie 'Boxing Day'. Could we see Perrie and Jade follow in Leigh-Anne's footsteps? We'd seriously love to see it.
Could Little Mix become Little Farmers?
Could we see Little Mix moving abroad and owning their own farm? Random we know but why not?__ We can already imagine the looks the girls would serve us in their plaid overalls and straw hats. When the girls ditch their pop-star duties, they're often goofing around at home and spending time with their loved ones, including their furry friends who are no strangers to the members' Instagram accounts. We know Perrie has her Pomeranian Hatchi, and her other pooch Travis. Jesy has her two Pomeranian dogs Reggie and Oscar. And Leigh-Anne has got a gorgeous pup named Kyro. Jade, however, hasn't got any furry friends. But, it's no secret that Little Mix are animal lovers, so how far-fetched really is this idea of the girls moving abroad and owning a farm? We truly can see it.
Going solo
Could we witness Little Mix going solo? All the great girlbands do it: Destiny's Child, Fifth Harmony, The Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud. It would be heartbreaking to watch Little Mix dismantle but these girls have some serious all-round talent; they sing and dance. _chef's kiss_We reckon their friendship would survive going solo too but that being said, we LOVE Little Mix and would hate to see them part ways. So we're keeping our eyes on this one...
