Celebrity Big Brother’s Keith Chegwin takes aim at Katie Hopkins for calling him a “grumpy old b**tard”

It’s a just-over-a-month-after-Christmas miracle! Keith Chegwin has finally piped up and has taken aim at Katie Hopkins in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The lovely chap has quietly sat back and watched the world go by until last week, having had some heated discussions with Katie Hopkins since over her claims he doesn’t have any opinions.

But he’s finally voiced his view and really isn’t a fan of Ms Hopkins any more.

In scenes to be aired on tonight’s show, the pair become embroiled in an argument which results in Keith (almost) shouting at Katie.

On Thursday night the housemates were given a farewell party by Big Brother to celebrate the nominated contestants’ time in the house.

Kavana was a little tipsier than other members of the cast and, on Friday morning, Nadia Sawahla and Keith discussed Kavana’s antics at the bash, before her eviction later that day, both agreeing the singer was “very funny”.

On tonight’s episode, Katie H can be seen walking into the room part way through the conversation, before declaring: “It’s better to enjoy yourself than be a grumpy old b**tard.”

As Katie storms into the bedroom Keith follows her, explaining: “If you had actually listened to what people said, maybe you’d have more sense about what happened?”

Keith went on to ask if she had heard what was said between him and Nadia, adding: “You come in and only get half of a conversation and decide to do your usual thing; have an argument!”

Newspaper columnist Katie tells Keith that all she hears is him moan, demanding: “If you don’t enjoy it in here, then don’t be in here!”

At this point, Keith really blows (well, a little bit, anyway) telling Katie she’s only confrontational towards people so she can promote her column, adding: “It really is boring. Really boring, I can’t tell you. Thank you.”

Looking perturbed, Katie attempts to continue the argument with Keith, ordering him: “Don’t end things in thank you. You end things in thank you, which is an odd sign off,” to which Keith responds: “Hopefully it’s a full stop.”

You tell her, Keith!

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
