It’s feels like we’ve been waiting a lifetime to say it but we can finally shout it from the rooftops: Sex Education is BACK.

Yep, series three is finally upon us and we can’t wait to see what Otis, Eric, Maeve, Ruby, Ola and co get up to next after the shock ending of the second season.

All eight episodes drop on Netflix on Friday 17 September, so ahead of the new series, we thought we’d take a deep dive into one of the biggest characters in the show, Isaac Goodwin, aka actor George Robinson.

Here’s everything you need to know…

Who plays Isaac on Sex Education?

The role of Isaac is played by George Robinson, a 22-year-old actor from Cambridgeshire. He was studying up Philosophy at University of Birmingham up until recently when he was cast in Sex Education - his first major acting role.

"Slowly as I got more and more involved, I sort of realised how big it was. I was just absolutely buzzing to be involved in it," George told HeyUGuys about the role.

What other TV shows has George Robinson appeared on?

George is relatively new to acting, but he's previously starred as Henry Carwadine in Channel 5 drama Dalgliesh.

Is George Robinson disabled?

George is the first disabled actor to be cast in Sex Education and, like his character Isaac, uses a wheelchair after suffering spinal cord injury while playing rugby in South Africa at the age of 17.

Speaking about being a disabled actor, he told Teen Vogue, "Everyone pretty much knows someone who has a disability and yet the representation in media doesn’t seem to be there in the same way, even though it’s certainly changing.

"There’s been the precedent in the past of having wheelchair characters not being played by people in wheelchairs. I just thought that was such a refreshing thing when I got the call.”

What did Isaac do in Sex Education season two?

Isaac first appeared in the second series of Sex Education as a new resident at the caravan park where Maeve (Emma Mackey) lives. After enrolling as a student at Moordale High, Isaac and Maeve grew close after he helped her uncover her mum's drug use and protect her little sister Elsie.

Isaac and Maeve began to develop romantic feelings for each other, leading to a shock twist when Otis finally confessed he loved in a voicemail message. Otis trusted Isaac to let Maeve know about the voicemail, which turned out to be a HUGE mistake, as he deleted the message from her phone instead of playing it to her.

"With Maeve, Isaac feels like he wants to drop that side [troublemaker side] and sort of express himself. Because what Isaac seems to do is deflect quite a lot while he projects his actual feelings. With Maeve, he seems to have found someone who he feels like he can express himself truly,” George told Teen Vogue.
