Love Island bosses have revealed that an intruder has had to be removed from the villa after breaching security.
The trespasser, who has reportedly been identified as YouTuber Omer Majid, broke into the villa in the town of Sant Llorenc des Cardassar in Majorca, although they did not come into contact with any of the 14 Islanders currently living there.
It’s unlikely that the intrusion will be mentioned on the show, but an ITV spokesperson issued a statement confirming the incident.
They said, “Last night a security breach was identified and an intruder was removed from the villa with immediate effect.
“As part of our stringent COVID safety measures, the villa area that was trespassed has been fully deep cleaned before being made accessible again to the Islanders and crew.”
The broadcaster added that the safety of contestants “remains our primary concern”.

According to The Sun, YouTube prankster Omer Majid filmed himself breaking into the villa on Instagram Live.
Footage obtained by the publication shows him walking through a corridor and past a pair of fluorescent lights before a voice is heard saying, “You’re trespassing.”
It’s believed that the intruder was searched by guards after being escorted out of the villa, but police were not called.

The break-in comes after a dramatic night in the villa which saw Hugo Hammond row with Sharon Gaffka and Faye Winter after he admitted his biggest turn-off was “fake” looks and personalities.
Sharon and Faye, who both revealed they have had lip fillers, Botox and a boob job, took issue with Hugo’s comments, although he insisted, he “didn’t mean anything malicious”.
The PE teacher who broke down in tears amid the fallout, added, “I was honestly so shocked that it got interpreted as it did, because obviously I had no intention of upsetting anyone."
