Tom Malone Jnr rose to fame alongside his younger brother Shaun and parents Tom and Julie when they joined the cast of Gogglebox in 2014 and although the rest of his family still appear on the show, Tom Jnr sadly quit in 2021.
At the time, he told his followers that he wanted to explore other opportunities, but it seems there may have been another reason he no longer appears on the Malone family sofa.
The Malones are often joined on Gogglebox by their dogs Dave and Joe and Tom has now revealed that he had to move out the family home as he’s allergic to their pet pooches.
Tom revealed the behind-the-scenes secret during a recent Instagram Q&A when one of his followers asked him, “Living in Mancs with family?”
He replied, “Yeah, still living in Manchester, but I live by myself now.
“I don’t live with my parents. They’ve got all the dogs init and I’m allergic, so I’m not trying to take antihistamines every day.”
Tom’s brother and parents usually appear on the show by themselves since he quit the show, however they have previously been joined by his sister Vanessa.
Outside of Gogglebox, Tom appeared on E4's The Real Dirty Dancing last year. It was on this show that he met former Strictly contestant Saffron Barker and the pair have recently been romantically linked.

The Malone family, dad Tom Snr, mum Julie and son Shaun have appeared on Gogglebox since 2014. They were also joined by another of their sons, Tom Jnr, when they were first on the show although he quite in 2021. Since then, their daughter Vanessa has also appeared on the show.

Why did Tom Malone Jnr quit Gogglebox?
Tom Jnr revealed he was quitting Gogglebox in February 2021. At the time, he explained, "So after 6 and a half years it’s finally time to put down the remote and say goodbye to Gogglebox. I’ve loved every minute and I’m eternally grateful to Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for allowing me to be a part of the show.
"But new opportunities are knocking on the door and it’s time to explore them."
