The Married at First Sight UK final is just around the corner but before we can find out which couples are set to skip off into the sunset together and which very much aren’t, there was the final dinner party to sit down to.
Following in the footsteps of the Australian version, this year producers orchestrated weekly dinner parties where all the couples sat down for a chat with lots of booze, and it’s fair to say they’ve not been the civilised affair you’d expect of a grown-up soirée.
This week was no exception, with producers laying an ‘honesty box’ component to the evening’s proceedings, where diners could submit anonymous questions for others in the group, and Matt – who made history as one half of the franchise’s first gay marriage this series – has gained praise on social media for his take down of Essex girl Morag.
Morag has made no secret of the fact that husband Luke “wasn’t exactly what [she] ordered,” and has previously told him to “be more manly” and that he had “an image problem”.

Marilyse and Franky
Although Marilyse and Franky didn't have the easiest of rides during the series, the pair declared their love for each other during the final vow renewal, with Franky admitting he was set to move back to the UK from Dubai.

Ant and Alexis - SPLIT
After splitting from their initial partners, Ant and Alexis found a spark that they were given permission to pursue by the experts. However, the pair quickly realised they were just friends, with both Ant and Alexis deciding to leave the process.
Megan and Bob - SPLIT
After getting over Megan's kiss with fellow contestant Jordan at the start of the series, Bob tried his hardest to make things work with Megan, but in the end the pair just weren't compatible. Megan and Bob both chose to leave the process during the third commitment ceremony.
Alexis and Jordon - SPLIT
These two didn't get off to a good start after Jordon admitted during the honeymoon that Alexis wasn't he type. And after he kissed fellow contestant Megan, Jordon and Alexis both chose to leave the show.
Ant and Nikita - REMOVED
Following an explosive argument at the first dinner party, Geordie girl Nikita was removed from the show by bosses for 'unacceptable aggression'.

But when someone anonymously asked, “Why wasn’t the ‘old Luke’ good enough for you?” Matt was quick to jump in to defend him.
“I really want to know. I really want to know that,” said Matt to his husband Dan, before pointing out, “Luke has got the purest heart of everyone I’ve ever met. You would make anyone the most amazing husband in the world, and you know what Morag you are lucky to have a guy like that.”
