Love Island producers

Love Island's Tanyel Revan has exclusively revealed to heat that the show’s producers absolutely “can’t tell you what to do” and we are shocked.

The 26-year-old was dumped from the villa after Casey O’Gorman picked Claudia Fogarty, and to say we were fuming is an understatement. Now, she’s spilling all the Love Island tea and definitely isn't holding back.

Making it clear that it was her personal experience, she said, “So this is one thing when people from Love Island say that producers tell you to do stuff, [the] producers not once told me to do anything, I don’t think they can. I don’t think anyone can make you do anything.”

Chatting to our Harriet Rose on heat Dates, Tanyel continued, “The only thing they can say, obviously, is ‘this is the challenge’ when it comes to challenges, Even at certain times I would say ‘I don’t feel comfortable putting my tongue down someone's throat that I don’t really fancy."

She explained that the producers listened to her and would tell her that “you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to”, and said that was only in regards to challenges. “Otherwise, even then they never told me what to do, and I just don’t think that’s fair to say.”

Ooh, interesting. ☕️

But we’re not sure what to believe because when Molly-Mae Hauge spoke to Closer's Love Island Secrets after leaving the show in 2019, she admitted that the producers did actually tell her what to do.

“There was one point where Tommy [Fury] told me about a little secret about Anton [Danyluk] giving his phone number to a shop assistant, and when he told me that, one of the producers came up to me and was like ‘you need to tell Anna [Vakili] about that You need to make sure that happened’.”

She continued, “I was like, ‘No, but he just made me promise’ like Tommy just made me promise that I wouldn’t say. She [a producer] was like ‘don’t worry we won’t show that bit, it will be fine, just tell Anna’

“I was like fine and I told Anna, and I got a lot of backlash like I was being unfaithful to Tommy, but sometimes you have to do things in there that you don’t necessarily wanna do, but for the storyline it just makes it work.”

She went on to say there was “no disrespect” to the producers on her part, but she said it was “really hard” because “it wasn’t her”.

“I wish I’d kind of, a few times, just stuck up for myself a little bit more and be like, ‘no actually, I’m not gonna do that because that’s not me’.”
